Maybe the others ARE the good guys…
Hmmm… I’ve thought for a while about this one and I’ve finally decided that it may not be crazy so I’ll post it anyway. You know how Ben always say that the others are the good guys? People just assume it’s a way to win them over to his side. But what if Ben is actually telling the truth? Okay here we go. The main inspiration of this theorie is all the time travel stuff going on recently. I realised that the others always seem to know what’s going on and who’s going to die. After Ben summons the smoke monster in the shape of things to come I got the impression that he’d gone down the to remind himself of something. Sorry I don’t have many examples to prove this but I thought about Desmond and his boat and all the other boats that have almost given the survivors of 815 a way home in seasons one and two before they started to see the bigger picture. Then I thought of the one that was ruined by the others but would have otherwise succeeded, The raft. It was pure luck that I had recently been watching the episodes in the middle of season four because I remembered what happened to Desmond and that other guy when they went through the forcefield thingy and how they could have died (one of them did!). On the raft they couldn’t of known the correct bearing. So if they had properly left the island BANG! all dead, no contants. But the others prevented them leaving. Perhaps they just wanted to SAVE them. My theorie is basically that (because I get the impression the wheel has been turned before) the others know exactly everything happening because they went into the future and saw what we’re going to see as the final episode of season six, discovering who survives and somehow decide to help the people from oceanic flight 815. I know there’s probably lots of flaws in this theorie like why wasn’t Ben prepared for the plane that crashed on the island? If you have any flaws or further possible examples please comment…
I like your comment but richard had no idea what was going on when they were in the army tents and lock first showed up int he past… but if the wheel turn was after that it would work… also past ben didnt know about the baby with russiou
You are right about the raft,but it was ben that sent them.Ben seems to know what to do in any event.He seems to set the wheels into motion more often than not.Ben is just so devious and always gets his way.I have to say though,ben,on a persoal level,he aint a good person at all is he?He has no qualities that would deem him a good guy.Ben is fundementally a bad person.He lies to everyone.Weather it turns out he does what he does to benefit the island is neither here nor there.why?It’s because it’s just a stupid island ,and why should anyone care about it.The island has been around since time began ,and i think it’ll be just fine with or with stupid little selfish ben and his idiot friends.As things have progressed in this story it turns out no one is a good guy anymore.Let me think…..err well,rose she’s ok,and so is bernard.sun,she’s a good girl too.There’s a handful of good guys in the show but as for the “others”get a grip.they killed the dharma hippies and then decided to carry on in exactly the same way dharma did.I quote “this is our island”bla bla bla….

well i understand what your trying to say sam123, but if the others knew what was going to happen then why did they ambush the losties and get blown up?
