I’ve been thinking that Faraday is the only one that can get them out of this.

I do like the idea, but…
It wouldn’t work otherwise everyone would remember what had happened the last time these events happened therefore Jack wouldn’t let faraday go back to find the Losties as he know’s Faraday will get shot.
Although in the last episode when Miles and Faraday are sat in the camper van waiting for Dr Chang to turn up, faraday says “right on time” whether this was a clue as to whether or not these events have happened before or that Chang runs to a set routine and is very punctual is open to debate
Daniel knows that ‘in exactly 6 hours’ everything’s gonna’ blow. His math can’t be that good, so it’s either it’s something he knows from when his brain was mush and popping him through time or being in a loop.
The loop would become infinite. I wonder what happens to a book that’s been written in that much… I don’t think it holds up too well. Plus we’ve already seen that Hawking gave Dan a new, blank book.
It don’t believe it would become infinite… The problem would eventually get solved. It may take several times through the loop, but I’d have faith that Dan would solve it.
I figured that Eloise, at some point in the future, sees the book new in the store (recognizes it because she’s been holding onto his for years) and purchases it for Daniel as a gift… then recopies it before giving it to him
Let’s see … in 1977 Daniel goes to AA for awhile. He musta’ told ’em about the purge & they want to stop it and that whole Jughead thing so they send him back.
He knows it’s in exactly 6 hrs – so he is supermathman or he’s been through this loop before.
Which got me thinkin’ … the one thing he did in ’04/5 that seemed important was turn off the gas … as if forewarned about a problem … kinda’ like he knew it had happened before.
I think he’s in a loop making small changes each time with hopes to fix it all.

So we’re going to see that scene again then? Where Eloise gives Daniel the book?
Didn’t we see it in the variable? It’s the journal she gives him when she takes him out to eat after his graduation
