Hurleys guitar *maybe a spoiler?
We all remember charlie lost his guitar in the plane crash. The only reason things went as they were supposed to was because of charlie, he was the variable in that time. He found his guitar because of locke who seemed to know it was up in that tree or whatever. So the best idea i can come up with is he told hurley to bring his guitar back(who knows how he got it, maybe the others sent it to him) and make sure it was in that tree so that everything would go as scheduled.

Or maybe Charlie’s ghost told him 2 bring the guitar.
I think Charlie told Hurley about both the guitar and about the flight back to the island.

People, Hurley has a guitar case. That it! Come one, now we posting theories about that?!
So he brings a guitar back with him, cause he maybe think that he will find Charlie back in The Island. That’s it…i think.
Is it the same type of case that contained druggie Charlie’s guitar? If so, you clinched it.

The writers have said in an interview that there isn’t a guitar in the case. They wouldn’t say exactly what’s inside but it should be very surprising. Locked, I like your thinking. Charlie was Hurley’s best friend and I’m sure he would want his buddy to be prepared for the future. So whatever is packed inside will more than likely help Hugo save the day
The problem with this is how did Hurley get Charlies guitar? Charlie seems to recognize the guitar Locke found for him as his. Hurley would not have been able to bring back Charlies guitar… just a guitar. I think there’s something else in the case that Hurley didn’t want people to know about.. he put it in a guitar case so people would think it’s a guitar. They chose a guitar case to make us crazy wondering how it relates to Charlie.
Hurley may have that guitar case full of food.

surago636, As it was important to recreate the events of #815, I didn’t find it all that surprising that Hurley was carrying Charlie’s guitar case, as this substituted for Charlie.
I am certain that Charlie was the one to convince Hurley that he needed to be on #316, and may have provided Hurley with what he needed to place in the case!
It might be how to program the lyrics of ‘Good Vibrations’, for all we know!
As hard as I try to find two pictures of charlies guitar case from season 1 and the one hurley carries onto the plane in season 5 I just can’t seem to find them. Well it actually. I can find the one from season 1 just not season 5.
We still haven’t seen the backstory on how Hurley got out of being locked have we? I don’t think I wwould something like that.
I guess this theory was simply wrong? Should we go back and check all the other theories where theorists were wrong, just for fun? Or should we wait until the series is over? 😉
