Two Lockes, Whats the Key?
We can deduce that the locke inside the temple is Mr.X, that is fairly evident. However, how did he manage to get locke’s body because he did not, for a lack of better words, “Go into” locke’s body, did he copy it? At the end of the episode we are shown locke’s body, so a few questions arise.
1. How did Mr. X photocopy locke
2. If he does have the ability to transform into others, who else could he have been?
Please add thoughts, question, point out flaws.
The black smoke has only changed into people who are already dead.
So, Mr. X = Black Smoke, and if so how did it effect Ben?
Whats the deal with christian then? on the island is he the smoke monster and if so that means hes the one that told locke to go off the island. Also when Locke told richard to tell locke to kill himself (thats a crazy sentance) it wasnt actually locke it was the rival/no name/smokey guy. (can everyone just agree to call him bob btw, much easier
has to be the black smoke. we’ve seen him take on forms before (black smoke being mr. x after getting killed by jacob indirectly).
If smokey is the gatekeeper of the underworld he probably has assumed the form of all dead characters on the show so far.
The question is, if Jacob didn’t want to be killed why he would save Lock’s life?
Also, as we seen the ashed on the cabin were removed so whatever was in that cabin could escape.
My guess is that whatever it is it’s bad and wanted Jacob dead. And probably was exactly what took Lock’s shape and manipulated everything on the island to plot Jacob’s assassination.
Another thing is that now we know why Smokey never gets near the coastline or beaches of the island. It’s where Jacob’s inhabits. So Smokey is working for the other side.

OMG u r so right about the beach thing.
I feel smokey has been every dead person we have seen on the island. With the exceptions of the ghosts seen by Hurley and Myles.
if you’re right about the “beach thing” and you’re right about “bob” being the smoke monster then he doesnt have a problem with the beach because we saw him there in the beginning of the season finale.
