How could there be a reset?

Long time reader, first time writer… been lurking for awhile, and I’ve been reading/hearing a lot of people who think the H-bomb went off and we’ll see some kind of a reset for next Season… BUT it seems fairly obvious that “Whatever Happened, Happened”, and this is all a fate/Oedipal twist of fate such that they actually created the incident in trying to stop it.
I think as mentioned by someone else..if the bomb survived the fall then a rock would be unlikely to detonate it (especially when the rock is being held by a woman who just fell like 100 feet atleast….so yeh i’m not sure the bomb did go off..and maybe this was a similar reaction to when desmond turned the key in the hatch in season 2?? and i agree a reset would be pointless..like it was all a dream and it would leave them with one season to completely re-interpret a 5 season storyline…as if the bomb went of properly they would never have come to the island etc….
