Miles…why he is needed?
so thinking along the line of the theory that the john locke that told ben to kill jacob was really the smoke monster taking lockes form…and that the smoke monster can take the form any dead body in the island i.e christian, echos brother,alex…….perhaps Bram was trying to convince Miles to come to the island to work for jacob instead of whitemore (the 100th episode) because miles would be able to use his spiritual powers to detect the smoke monster taking to form of others. just a thought! 🙂
Anyone who can commune with the dead would be on the short list of people I’d want with me on the island. Comic relief is a bonus as well.
JL, I think Miles’ abilities will come in very handy, in season 6.
As for the smoke monster, while it has killed people, it has only done so, in its own form, and not that of another person, dead or alive.
That is part of the reason, I don’t think the smoke monster is Jacob’s Nemesis.
If it were a case of Miles detecting the smoke monster, he certainly has never done this, so he may end up having a little conversation from somebody else, who is amongst the ‘departed’.
