I'm a lost junkie. My 3 favorite characters are Desmond Hume, Hugo Reyes and Frank Lapidis, in that order. Not a Huge fan of Jack. In fact he annoys the Pi** out of me. I wish he hung out with Locke more, he would probably be dead... just like the writers intended, lol. Favorite episode was "The Constant." Love Texas Hold'em. one of my emails is: holdemcaulfield@hotmail.com

  1. I believe that was episode 5, House of the Rising Sun. One of the skeletons was female and Jack found a white pebble and a black pebble in a pouch on one of the skeletons.

  2. well, the episode is season 1 House of the rising sun. Jack and Kate find them about 13 minutes into the episode after Charlie runs off for a fix and they all end up being chased by bee’s.

    I did not post any reason’s on ‘my theory’ because at the time I did not have any other than the fact we pretty much think everyone is stuck back in the 70’s. At the end of season 5 Sawyer, Juliet and whoever come across Rose and Bernard who say they did not want to be found. They found their place for retirement and made peace with it. Meanwhile “you People” according to Rose, being the other survivors, trek across the island to the incident to blow people up. Later Richard tells Sun that he saw them all die.

    So, at first this is what i based it on, who else could it be???

    It’s not likely it’s others. It’s not likely it’s DI. And Unless they are going to go through the trouble of introducing some new characters AND we know its 1 male and 1 female, who else could it be…

    Jack and Kate, Jack and Juliette, Sawyer and Kate, Sawyer and Juliette, Jin and Sun, or Rose and Bernard.

    But if we believe Richard then that rules out Jack, Kate, Juliette, Sawyer and Jin, thus most likely Ruling out Sun also.

    Just before i posted this I was reading interviews with the writers and all they said was season 6 would reveal leftover mysteries such as who the skeletons from the caves in season 1 were. This is what made me try to guess at who it would be.

    After reading the first two comments I went ahead and tried to find exactly which episode. Upon re-watching the scene it turns out Jack inspects the bodies, says it would take 50 years for the clothes to degrade, which again i think is false due to the humidity of the cave = maybe 30 years (my guess). Originally he says they were laid to rest like a burial and later he changes his mind, saying this place is too good a place to be used as burial. They lived here, they had a limitless supply of fresh water. Since Rose and Bernard were getting old it probably would be a good idea for them, so they would not have to hump water back and forth all day. Can you picture two old people going back and forth?

    And now, for the nail in the coffin…

    When Jack inspects the bodies he pulls something out of the pocket of one body. It is a little pouch. He pulls out nothing other than 2 stones… 1 Black, 1 White.

    “thank ya, thank ya very much, I always liked you Clarence” – Elvis

    at this time I’d like to thank my sponsor’s, and i also wanted to point out the Brilliant joke made by charlie, which of course, neither Jack nor Kate find funny since they have no sense of Humor.

    After being chased by bee’s jack and kate get separated from charlie, who later comes in and says thanks for ditching me, jack and kate have stripped off their shirts and kate says well, we were full of bee’s, to which charlie replies i thought you were full of C’s actually… LMAO!

  3. i’d say this theory could be correct, in the whole retiring to the caves,BUT! i think this could on be true if the losties have stayed in 1977 at the end of season 5..
    if they have been transported back to the future, then rose and bernard would have gone too UNLESS, the only people that got sent back are the ones in the perimeter of the swan(? sorry),where then they (rose and bernard) would not have gone back..

  4. who knows about the dharma food, if they were in hiding then they probably died sometime after the DI was massacred, so maybe they ran out?
    besides, yes new information might come to light in season 6 and of course i could be way off, but i think given the current information this is the best guess.

    whats with the stones then?

    I will bet anyone, before season 6 starts it is Rose and Bernard, of course, I only pay IF you guess who it is correctly, otherwise it’s a wash.

  5. Ok so i just found this on a website and thought i would share.

    What is the meaning or significance of the two skeletons that Jack and Kate found in the cave of season 1?

    CUSE: The answer to that question goes to the nature of the timeline of the island. We don’t want to say too much about it, but there are a couple Easter eggs embedded in [the Feb. 7 episode], one of which is an anagram that actually sheds some light on the skeletons and hints at a larger mythological mystery that will start to unfold later in the season.
    LINDELOF: There were certain things we knew from the very beginning. Independent of ever knowing when the end was going to be, we knew what it was going to be, and we wanted to start setting it up as early as season 1, or else people would think that we were making it up as we were going along. So the skeletons are the living

  6. This one is on the Lostpedia anagrams page, and has been for a while.

    From the Room 23 video:
    Only fools are enslaved by time and space.

    =

    Bones of Nadlers may lay lost deep in cave.

  7. Nice Benny, Samson.

    I am confused over the feb 7th episode reference. When was this article? feb 7 only coincides with season 3 and season 4, Bot in Portland, and Confirmed Dead.

    Also what does room 23 refer to? was this from supplemental material?

    Bones of Nadlers… Well, i can get ‘Rose and Bernard’ out of that, but you are left with an L and an F and you have to use the same R three times, and a D twice so not sure it qualifies.

    I’m thinking i am putting too much into this now.

    I maintain my conjecture.

    other bones of nadlers:
    Ned Flanders Boo!
    Boone Flanders
    Alfred P Neuman -jk, making sure you are awake
    Rose and Ben Fosl (fossil) lol

    why do you have to confuse me?
    The house is open. Bets welcome!

  8. I’m not listening anymore.
    where is the delete comment button. I think i would find it particularly useful right now.
    I still think it Rose and Bernard. I’m stubborn. call me Jack!

  9. Double A-HA

    what is rose and bernards last name?

    LMFAO – its Nadler

    ok, I am now offering 100 to 1 odds it is Rose and Bernard? 20 dollar minimum.

    c’mon everyones a winner!

    what me? worry?

  10. i only see …
    besides, its Rose and Bernard Nadler.
    Bones of Nadlers!

    maybe you said this originally and I am the only one dumb enough to go back and forth after the answer was there. lol.

  11. ahh, AES i got your link.
    and here i thought i was smart too 🙁
    funny thing is, I bet i can still find 1 person to take the bet!!!

    apparently this is old news, my aporigies.

  12. A.E.S I have just read your posts on the link you put up and realized I posted the exact same interview you did sorry I should of done my homework a bit more but I loved the story you put up and yes I do beleve even though it does sound crazy

  13. Hello…

    No apologies necessary…

    It is an old post, so I understand the not catching it.

    I do still believe that this will be the skeletons…unless of course there is a cop out answer…which to a degree I would actually like a little more.

    But I think now with the Nadlers happy and content on island, it makes a lot of sense for it to be them.

    Remember people…although the producers say that the time travel is about over…there is still a matter of the statue story, and the origins/backstories of Jacob and MIB, and I dont doubt at all that it could be told through a time travellers perspective.

    Not to mention the thought that although they say time travel is done… they also said long ago there would be no time travel on Lost… so believe what you may, but there is still a past story to be told in my opinion.

    Nice work on the thought Holdem, and Samson nicely done as well with the link.

    I love the research, and thought into the older seasons.

    I feel that they may not have had the story of every character mapped out to a T, but there are many who have had plans from the start…mainly our 06 and family, Locke, and of course…Vincent.

    And Samson, thanks for appreciating the story, I really would post something that ridiculous without it being true, and the best part is, the person who brought it to me wasnt even a Lost freak like all of us, but now that I explained to him what he really figured out for me (apparently it was already out there on other sites?) he went back and watched the show and will be caught up for the final season!

  14. Wheres the fact Columbus…?

    lol…I actually hope your are correct…at least about the Jack part, but I dont think John will be one of them…

    I always thought Jack and Kate up until the anagram…

  15. I recall your post AES. I am certain the writers wouldn’t bother to make the anagram if it didn’t apply.

    On the note about time travel, I think there are many elements left to be told, in this respect. I have a theory of my own I am working on that will explain another aspect of travel.

  16. cant wait for it Dabsi, I think that some of the ideas are almost supposed to be too easy in a way, so that when we all figure out the “who”…they get us with the “how” or “why”.

  17. thats so weird. apparently some of your comments have no constants. they are jumping around in time. and rearranging themselves right before my eyes.

    the link banlinus posted was not there earlier, and I swear AES first post all i could see was this: …
    and now the link is there and what he wrote.

    or maybe im jumping around in time.

    maybe im john locke.

    maybe im the island.

    maybe im just bored, apparently i’ve been watching way too much lost.

    thanks for comments, links, clarifications.

  18. damn, you’re good.

    You been hanging around Desmond again haven’t you brutha?

    you did in fact prove that you answered it before i asked it.

    um, Stephen Hawking may want to speak with you.

  19. i read AES’s post.. and the whole “only fools are enslaved by time and space” = “bones of nadlers may lay lost deep in cave”.. doesnt work. if you sit and work out the anagram “in” does not exist… i dont believe it.

  20. Go over more carefully Helen…

    Write it as I have below, and delete a letter from each line each time that matches…ie…take the “ON” from ONLY, and take the “ON” from BONES away…you will see…and believe…
    ——————————————–
    ONLY FOOLS ARE ENSLAVED BY TIME AND SPACE

    BONES OF NADLERS MAY LAY LOST DEEP IN CAVE
    ——————————————–
    34 letters, all match up with each phrase…

  21. ONLY FOOLS ARE ENSLAVED BY TIME AND SPACE

    BONES OF NADLERS MAY LAY LOST DEEP IN CAVE

    LETTER COUNT===
    —————-
    A=4
    B=1
    C=1
    D=2
    E=5
    F=1
    I=1
    L=3
    M=1
    N=3
    O=3
    P=1
    R=1
    S=3
    T=1
    V=1
    Y=2
    —–
    34 LETTERS IN EACH PHRASE THAT ALL MATCH UP EQUALLY….

  22. The first time I did it I did not count the word “and” into the anagram…and it took me a few times to get it myself…if that helps at all.

  23. lol. thankyou AES.. i worked out what i did wrong.. i got the “i” in TIME too close to the T and didnt see it..
    i do apologise, and thanks for pointing me in the right direction

  24. No prob…
    I actually thought it was too easy to be correct when I first started checking the answer, and actually psyched myself into believing it was wrong, lol…

    Glad you got it now, and I hope it turns out to be true…or do I hope its false…damn producers playing with my feelings….

  25. i’m still not sure i want to believe it is that easy for it to be rose and bernard… theres still the odd thing that makes me think it is jack and kate.

    re-watching season 1 “house of the rising sun”.. watched jack pull out the bag with the stones in.. and if you really watch it… you cant tell if he actually puts them back with the body or if he pockets them.you see him put them in the bag, camera switches to locke, then back to jack putting on his shirt.hmm.. also chucking it out there… kate says (on the topic of going to the caves) ” i dont want to be eve”. i know this could be taken in any context, ie, she doesnt want to end up like eve, on the island forever..
    lol.. think my mind is determined to find any tiny shred of evidence that it is kate and jack. and i can picture in my mind the day they die there, when jack lays kate to rest on one side, and lays down to die himself the otherside…
