Locke’s Purpose?

I’m sure many have posted similar theories or questions as the one I am here, so please accept my apologies ahead of time.

Does anyone feel that after Jacob “touched” Locke upon his being pushed out of the window, that Jacob essentially brought Locke back to life and possible began guiding Locke, though without Locke’s knowledge?

Let’s face it from the minute Locke landed on the island, regained use of his legs and evaluated by the smoke monster, he has always seemed more certain of his purpose on that island than most. Now here is my theory:

What if Locke was being “guided” by Jacob from the fall all the way up to his voyage to, what he was told to be, Jacob’s cabin? Then after behind asked by, possibly, MIB (Help me!) in the cabin, shot and left for dead by Ben, and then of course being revived once again this time by the image of Walt, whom may or may not have been guided

  1. DEStination, I also thought that Jacob’s touch may have brought Locke back to life.

Given Locke’s uncanny knowledge of many things, ‘island’ from an early age, we don’t know if this was his first encounter with Jacob. Or, if ‘the island’ itself spoke to John on some level.

I think it is possible that Locke had two guiding forces throughout his life.

When the Smoke Monster took on Walt’s form to speak to Locke, I believe it was ‘the island’ informing him, that he had more ‘work to do’. I felt this is what made Locke re-focus.

    Good thoughts!
