  1. I totally agree with you, Lost has always presented good vs bad characters but it often made us change our views. For example Ben has always been seen as a manipulator, which he is, but somehow in season 5, he looks more like someone who really wants to help. The fact that Jacob believes in free will does not mean he’s necessarily representing the ‘goods’. Maybe he wants to prove something good (humanity capable of being good when they are left with free choice) but his methods might be really bad (such as everything you described).

  2. Wow, this is almost exactly what I wrote as a theory two days ago that somehow never got posted, I’ve been waiting to see my theory on here and it’s kinda pissin me off. I couldn’t agree with ya more though. Just because MIB is wearing a black shirt and saya he wants Jacob dead doesn’t mean automatically that he’s “evil” or even a “bad” guy. It almost seems as if MIB is in service of protecting the island and wants Jacob to stop what he’s doin. You’re right though, I noticed the fact that he let Kate slide. She never stopped stealing obviously. Sawyer lived his whole life in vengeance because Jacob allowed it that way. Nadia’s dead. You are very right. We have only seen a little bit about MIB, and I feel it’s so that the writers can throw all the Jacob lovers a serious curveball next season. Again, good job, I agree we have seen nothing good about Jacob to this point.

  3. Yes, there have already been many that expressed doubt about Jacob. With Lost, ya never know. They love presenting things a certain way then turning it on its ear.

  4. thenewguy, I covered this very subject recently in a lengthy post, entitled Good & Evil/Black&White & Shades of Gray.

You may wish to give it a read!

  5. Thenewguy, a question that has been bugging me lately is why is it that the Others follow Jacob, who it would sees has been bringing people to the Island for years, only to threaten and kill the new arrivals as soon as they set foot on the Island?

  6. No kiddin Achalli, Jacob brings the losties there, and tells the others to start havoc with them? It never crossed my mind how contradicting that actually is, good point

  7. Ok guys, look at this. In the opening scene Jacob looks like a perfect guy, hard look in his eyes, answers are fast and with no mistake. He looks like a typical villain. Dont you think thats too obvious. He looks like a prototype of a villain. In the last scene with Jacob we can see the conversation between him and Ben. Look at Jacob´s eyes. They look like full of tears and that sad look. When Ben attack him, he doesn´t even protect himself. I think Jacob is the good guy, he brought everyone from the Incident flashbacks on the Island to finish the game as i think. Everything what happened there, from the travelling to 1977 until dead of Jacob was his plan. I think we will meet him in the next seasson again

  8. Yes very good point. Espeically with Jacob eating RED HERRING. I found out that actor
Mark Pellegrino is going to play LUCIFER in Supernatural (at the end it also had the black against white background thingy like at end of Lost).

Dark Man’s name might be Samuel (saw it on Lostpedia description of how actor should play the part). If you do a search for SAMAEL Angel you will get a SHOCK. He is also patron saint of Esau. The angel Uriel is known as Jacob. Esau & Jacob twins. Maybe they have a human name and angel name etc and use the frozen donkey wheel to turn from angel to human. The worm hole exit lands in the Great Desert (similar to story of the fallen angel Azazel).

My theory is that perhaps Lost is BASED but not actually about the Lost Book of Enoch and the Watchers who were mistaken for Gods of Old or Ancients (ie Egyptian Gods and the Greek Titans or Nephilim the children of FALLEN ANGELS or DEMONS).

Series 1 Kate’s story is like Greek Artemis, Jack Apollo, Sawyer Eros, Hurley Dionysus, Charlie Rock God Pan, Michael is EXACTLY same story as Actaeon or Tiresias. I think the Angels or Demons are being reincarnated through generations in the same family using talismans (ie Charlie’s DS ring) if you look at 1977 Geronimo Jackson poster on Lostpedia Charlie and Michael are in it. French scientist
Yves Montand who loses arm when Monster drags him under temple could have been Australian guy in Tabula Rasa Ep 1 Ray Mullen (remember guy who dobbed in Kate had one arm). The real Yves Montand was actor in Barbara Streisand Film on a clear day you can see forever (about a girl who remembered her previous lifes under hypnotism) ie REINCARNATION.

I think Smoke Monster is an atom crusher. It separates soul or demon from the human. There are millions of reincarnation clues everywhere if you look ie songs/jewellery/Jack’s watch/hieroglyphics at the Orchid/Kate’s toy plane etc/oh and especially the Marshall’s badge (Sawyer turns into him while he holds onto it then hands it back to Kate).

But I also thought that the dove in Charlie’s dream (indicating Holy Spirit) was a clue to the Smoke Monster but I don’t know. I guess if Egyptians landed on island they would think SM was Set. Greek sailors would think it was Cerebus. Black Rock Christians would think it was Holy Ghost or angel Gabriel. Witches would think it was a Black Body. Scientists would say it was an atom crusher or particle accelerator. But it’s supposed to be a security system to keep something out of the Temple (keep out Demons?)

Anyway I can’t wait to find out what the Black Smoke Monster is he’s the most interesting part of literal enigma which is LOST. XXX

  9. I think it’s not true MIB doesn’t want people to come to the island because they come, they fight, they destroy, they corrupt and he dreads that. I think that Jacob brings people to the island to prove him wrong, that it’s not true that people are so bad but they can change and during the process they make progress, they improve they become better.I don’t think that Jacob somehow affected the six he touched badly. If Kate kept on stealing that was her choice but at the very end she’s not such a bad person, she has improved and become better. Sawyer lived in revenge and that was his choice.Jacob didn’t kill Nadia she was hit by a killer who probably wanted to kill Saiyd instead. We can know the rules but we choose whether to follow them or not. This is freedom. MIB on the contrary deceives everyone, he disguises as if he were the good guy trying to protect the island and its secrets and in my opinion he has mischieved the others who also want to protect the island at any cost. Ben has been a puppet whose strings were pulled all the time by MIB in order to find his loophole.Because if Jacob dies the balance between light and dark will be broken and then…may God help us all.
