Jacob and MIB both take forms…

Somebody mentioned earlier (forgive me for not remembering who) that when mib takes the form of someone on the island, he does not take their body… ie. John Locke’s dead body still visible for all to see. Â He simply “morphs” into their shape.
Is it possible that IF Jacob can take the form of others, he DOES inhabit their bodies? Â If we think about it, Jack can not find Christians body… yet Christian helps Jack find the caves, helps Locke move the island, etc… Â Christian has played a huge role in the series and I believe it is possible that his body could have been inhabited by Jacob the entire time.
This may help to explain why Syid wakes up after being pronounced dead. Â It could be more clues that Jacob also has the ability to take people’s forms, and returned inside the temple for protection.
