Christian is NOT MIB

*C’mon guys I’ve seen this theory way too many times, lets just put it to rest please : )

*I guess we need to start by talking about the Cabin. When Locke & Ben first visit it in Season 3 we experience the Cabin under a very dark theme. Locke shines a light and all hell breaks loose! And the only thing that we see is a glimpse of a ghostly figure. My theory… this is MIB without his body, the guy sounded trapped and obviously that’s why he shouted “HELP ME”

*Moving on, the next Cabin visit we see Locke enter and now he is immediately greeted by Christian, a figure that we have already seen around the Island multiple times. He doesn’t identify himself as Jacob but he does say “I can speak on his behalf” My theory is Jacob is Christian…

*Lets think about here… Christians casket was found on the Island but not his body, Jacob possessed it to give Locke instructions. Why? MIB obviously has some of Lockes memories but none of them involve actually seeing Jacobs body. In Season 6 the Other others said they didn’t understand why Jacob sent Sayid because at his current state he was beyond saving. Its Jacobs way of disguising himself once again

*I digress… The last thing that tipped me off that Christian is NOT MIB was in Season 5, Flocke is now on the Island and being interrogated by the Ajira crew. Meanwhile Sun and Frank are discovering that Jack and the gang are not in their correct time… And who is telling them this? Christian, so how is MIB posing himself as Christian and Locke at the same time? He’s NOT! If that doesn’t convince you then look at this contrast… In Season three Locke turns on the flashlight and the Cabin goes crazy… In Season 5 Christian is holding a flashlight to show light on the picture taken in 1977… Christian is NOT MIB.

  1. I havent seen many of these theories, but have one myself saying that Christian is MIB.

I used to think the same thoughts as you. But since we see MIB talk about it not being what he is that is important, but who he is, I feel that we will find out he is Christian.

I think the ash was put there to keep the monster in…but it was broken at some point before we see the monster in season 1 or earlier… I cant say exactly what happened, because I honestly dont know.

I dont think Jacob possesses anyone, I think he is simply Jacob.

I dont believe Sayid is Jacob. I think that what happened to him is the very same thing that happened to Ben when he was shot by Sayid. His words of “What happened?” are similar to Bens question when he awakens.

Richard tells Sawyer and Kate that he will not remember what happened.

On the scene with Christian talking to Sun and Frank…it SEEMS as if it goes down like that, but it doesnt. This was my defense of the very same argument, but upon further watching…

The plane crashes and Ben sneaks off, followed by Sun, followed by Frank.

Sun hits Ben with an oar, then her and Frank take the boat to the main island.
They get to the dock, and after a quick glimpse and sound of the monster, they walk to the rec center, where Christian appears in the doorway, and a small cloud of smoke.

He tells her to follow Locke if she ever wants to see her husband again, just like Locke tells her later on to keep her with him later, then the picture is given.

From there, we see Ben wake up with Flocke, who IS the monster, from what we know after the premier.

We dont know when they found Flocke on the beach. I imagine he has the same type of ability to “read” the dead as Miles does, which is how he gains his knowledge of the deceased.
He takes their/Lockes form, and proceeds to suck Ben into his plan.

Things occur differently than it seems for that scenario, which is done on purpose, but a few rewatches you can see how it doesnt make sense for Flocke to be with Ben the same time the Christian is with Sun and Frank.

I understand you view, but you have to take the dock/rec center scene into account when viewed as it actually occured.

Good points, but I have to disagree…
