Is anyone else completely LOST? (Pun very much intended)!
Is anyone else completely confused as to what is happening on Lost? I assume that the general answer is “yes” but I thought I’d better ask anyway.
I know that from day 1, mysteries, secrets, red herrings and deception were the order of the day but I thought that when we reached Season 6, some of the questions would begin to get answered but on the whole, they haven’t; if anything more questions have been raised.
To begin with, a second timeline/universe has been thrown into the mix, the purpose of which still hasn’t been made clear. Just a side note on this timeline, events have been changed at a point a lot further in the past than just from the point at which 815 originally crashed. Hurley is lucky, Shannon wasn’t with Boone and Helen seems to be engaged to Locke.
Now to events on the island which are getting more and more confusing as we go along!
We have a temple full of other Other’s and which contains a life giving pool. Who are these other Other’s and why can this pool give life and heal people?
Next, who and what is Nemesis? He can take the form of the Smoke monster but how? He tells Sawyer that he was once a man like him so what happened to change him? Richard knows who he is and says he wants to kill everybody but why? Ilana says that he now cannot change his current form; why not and how does she know this?
Then we have that cavern set into the cliff face. Jacob had written the names and number of potential candidates who destiny it would be to protect the island. As Sawyer asked, why does the island need protecting and who does it need protecting from? Why is the island so special?
And just to finish off with, who on earth was that blonde haired boy? The assumption would be Aaron but that seems too obvious. What is this boy’s purpose and what are the rules he made reference to? Nemesis did seem a little unnerved when he saw him and when he shouted ‘don’t tell me what I can’t do’, he did seem a bit worried or desperate! Who is this person?
These are just the major questions which have been raised by Season 6 and I imagine that more will follow; I’m not really complaining, I’m just thoroughly confused!! I know all you guys are trying your best to theorise on what’s going on but I just don’t know anymore, there is just such little evidence on which to come up with a realistic theory about anything anymore. I give up!
I tried to write a theory on what I thought about ‘the boy’ and how even the smoke monster has a demon, something keeping him on this island, bound by these rules.
But it got ridiculous and I just gave up on it. I am with you, I can’t even theorize on what is going on!
pmsl Josh ive been doing the same, this new episode has almost debunked my theory i think i dont know but i cant write what i think anymore cause i dont know what i think lol ahhh Lost what are you doing to me
I_Am_Jacob, if anyone knows it should be you! After all, you’re Jacob! I guess Ben was wrong when he seriously doubted that you would be confused.
What else should I answer to this? 😉

ilie, yes, one would assume it would be me with all the answers but i’m afraid that im going to dissapoint you at the moment. or maybe i do know the answers and i’m just not telling! 🙂
Jj23, i assume that your newbie comment was aimed at me which i think you’ll find is quite wrong. i have been a member of this site for around about a year now. i may not post a lot of theories or make many comments but i spend a lot of time reading everyone elses stuff. i have rewatched Lost 3 times now (S1-5) so i assure you that i knowledge of people, events and mysteries is quite good.
anyway, in reply to the points you’ve made, my question about Nemesis is “what is he and how has he changed from a mortal man to what he is now?” At this moment in time there is no evidence to suggest what he is and what changed him, that is my point. i know we will probably find out soon but i personally thought that questions would begin to get answered as opposed to just more being raised.
i didn’t make any reference to the sickness because that is something we sort of found out about in last weeks episode. however, we don’t know what this illness is and what causes it (yet) as this information wasn’t divulged by the Other’s when testing Sayid.
now regarding the off island events, i actually wrote a theory about this last week. anyway, this timeline obviously has a very important meaning behind it otherwise it wouldnt be being shown in so much depth.
my main point really Jj23, is that a load of new questions have been raised to add to all the other outstanding ones from previous seasons, i just think that with only a few hours of show left, we should start getting some definative answers to some of them.
on a final point, i completely agree with Joshcgs, i’ve been trying to write a few theories on events that are happening but find that things just start getting silly or i don’t know where im heading with something. im not saying that people should stop theorising, most definately not, im just saying that it is very hard at the moment to write something sensible and plausible about what is going on while taking into account what we now know.
