  1. oh nm im gonna rewatch it but i thought someone bad was coming to the island…instead it seems someone bad is going to the temple and perhaps someone random is coming to the island…

in that case its either desmond or walt

  2. I’m not sure anyone new is coming to the island… who knows, maybe… But I think was Jacob was saying to Hurley was that he needed help bringing Jack… Not physically but more spiritually.

  3. Hm, I forgot about that… so I guess someone is coming… Widmore was the first one I thought of when he first mentioned that someone was coming but I guess there are several people it could be… not least of all the alternate timeline people…

I don’t think it’ll be someone bad though… when he said that he was talking about Locke going to the Temple…

  4. right right, i appreciate the clarification. and desmond was told that the island wasn’t done with him. maybe it will be a big happy boat with all the off island people coming back.

    widmore, desmond, walt, and aaron

  5. Yeah, Widmore with Desmond and maybe Eloise… There are questions I guess about Ben’s assention to the leadership role with the Others… maybe Jacob wants Widmore to return as the last true leader or something…

  6. It could be any of those names that you all mentioned.

I’m goin on a limb though and I’m going to say it’s someone new. Jacob tells Flocke “They’re coming”, and since then Flocke’s been recruiting for what appears to be an “end” war.

Perhaps the ones coming are the ones (or “the one”) that originally made up the rules in the first place. It could be a head honcho, or a supreme ruler of some kind. Or I could have just played too many video games in my day, and I’m way off.

Let’s not forget that the HANSO family has had a lot of background influence in this story for over a century (Black Rock, Dharma)……Regardless, it’s a mysterious family and I’d like answers on them before it’s all said and done.

Good topic of discussion though Eko. It’s an important one.

  7. My first thought was Desmond, but would he really leave Penny & Little Charlie behind? It should be a person of interest & not a group in my opinion.

Walt coming back would be a huge turn of events & I feel that Walt is very very important somehow & is significant to the Island.

  8. I vote for Desmond. Not sure why, except that the writers introduced him early in the first episode of this season for a reason.

The same logic behind re-introducing Adam and Eve as a sort of refresher from season one for viewers who don’t remember such small details. If indeed Adam and Eve figure prominently in the series end game then the writers needed to bring them back in.

Viewers needed to be clued in that Desmond is still part of the narrative despite his seeming happy ending at end of season 5.

  9. there are good cases for many people.

desmond was told by hawking that the island wasn’t done with him, and he said prophetically to Penny: “why would I want to go back to that bloody island?”

widmore has been searching for the island and may be able to find it with desmond, or with the help of hawking.

walt-it really seems like his story didn’t end right. too many loose ends.

aaron- has been brought up a lot recently. I wonder how crazy claire would react to aaron being around.

  10. Hi ekolocation, we have been waiting almost the entire series for Widmore to make his return to ‘the island’.

I think we all know that he plays a significant role in the story, and it is for that reason alone, that I believe he is the person Jacob is waiting for when he says ‘they’re coming’.

Jacob seems to keep ‘strange bedfellows’.

  11. I don’t know whos coming, but someones gotta be.
With ‘the war’ coming that they keep talking about, Theres only like 30-40 people on the island that we know of, it wouldn’t be much of a war if nobody does.

I’d say Widmore and Desmond have joined forces, along with some other people.
