Lost equals fight club remake?

It is becoming a scary trend on other theory sites and a lot of podcasts that people think that Jacob and MIB are one in the same/ are a dual identity. But I havent heard that on here (thank goodness). I think that it is stupid but maybe we have had clues (but more likely red herrings) that could make just maybe oh so subtlely the case. The way the opening shot in the incident part 1 is what people use as their evidence, along with Dogen’s statement that Withinevery man there is scale and cut back to two episodes before where there is scale in the cave with one black stone and one white. Crazier things have happened on Lost, after all, there is a smoke monster and dead people walking around.
Let me know what you guys think about that.

Hi. I am an uber Lost fan. Admittedly, I jumped on the bandwagon a little late, halfway through the third season but thanks to the DVD's I am all caught up and do frequent re-watches. BTW my new image reflects my love/hate relationship with Lost. I always feel like I am on the verge of blowing up at the end of every episode because when I think I finally figured it out, nope the rug is pulled out.

  1. Has that really never come up here before? Well, like others, I’ve always thought of them as complementary beings to the Island, the ying/yang deal, but I’ve avoided the whole… Jacob/MIB as ONE… eeep. That would be pretty nuts.

  2. I think it definitely could happen…the duality/triality of the soul is a typical literary archetype (Jekyll/Hyde Id/Ego/Superego). I think it’s a bit cheatworthy, but it could happen.
