“Help me”
I posted a theory ages ago called “Kill Jacob? or ‘Kill’ Jacob?” in which I posed the question “what if Jacob isn’t real?” Obviously we know he is now, but I was just reading the comments people left and it brings up another question we still haven’t learned the answer to… Who whispered “Help me” when John first went to the cabin? Now, I need to rewatch that episode, but d’ya think that was Jacob? I thought it might be the Smoke Monster in whatever form he was occupying at the time, but I’m not sure he could actually enter the cabin yet at that point because it was still protected by the circle of ash. If I have my timing correct, it was still actual Locke who visited the cabin at that point, and not “Locke” as we know him now, yes?
Still not really sure if the ash was keeping Nemesis TRAPPED INSIDE or kept from GOING INSIDE.. I don’t think it was to keep him in, since the Smoke Monster had been seen on the island since 815 crashed..
This is what has been eating at me for some time now. If it really was the smoke monster in the cabin, then how come we see if him flying around the island-
ALSO when ilana visits the cabin with Bram – she says something like “Someone else has been using it” – then pulls the knife out of the cabin wall with a tapestry showing the statue, where Jacob lives. SO are we to believe it was Jacob in the cabin until the ash was broken???
I think it was the Rob Kyker, the prop master. Maybe he couldn’t find anything in the dark and his asthema was acting up after he sat in that chair surrounded by ash. (That’s what happens after you LOST your grip.)
someone broke the ash barrier which aloud MIB to enter! the help me was prob a cry from MIB as he really wants to leave the island! and pretending to be FLocke in the future, it was part of the trick to get people to do what he wanted
