Room 23

Now seems like a good time to fire up some discussion as to Room 23 …

Some thoughts
1) The room may have been used by Dharma, but the tape itself was designed after the purge to indoctrinate Others. We know they showed it to Walt when they first got him. They showed it to Karl when he was to ‘reassess’ his actions towards Alex (probably Ben’s idea). How do we know they didn’t show it to everyone brought to the island and ‘chosen’ to be an Other … look how quickly Cindy seemed ‘brainwashed’ by them. We don’t know how it starts/ends. Maybe the idea came as a little ‘push’ from Alpert/Jacob.

2) “Only fools are enslaved by time and space” – everyone focuses on ‘bones of nadlers’ – but in light of the last 3 seasons, its significance needs reexamination. Any ideas.

Indeed, it could explain why the island is the perfect place to trap MIB.

BTW: In Room 23, Walt seemed ‘bad’. Interesting how Juliet doesn’t give Walt the same ‘he’s only a kid’ Ben gives him … or she gave Ben! Could he be infected? (Some suggest your infection can be lessened w/family love … Rousseau/Alex; Clare/Aaron/Kate … now he and his MeMaw.)
