Since no one else brought this up…
The Man in Black touches Richard in the Black Rock, and it appears to bring him back, just as Jacob’s touch did with John Locke after he was pushed out of the window.
Luke 4:37 (this is from the King James Version)
I included 4:31-36 as well to give you the context of the end verse
31 And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.
32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
33 And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.
35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.
37 And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.
Why the heck would Richard be reading that (trying for insanity plea?)
shouldn’t he have been reading oh, I dont know Psalms 23?
The Man in Black accuses Jacob of being the Devil. Maybe as I have said oh, I dont know three or four times the writeers were giving us clue about Jacob via the CW series Supernatural, where Mark Pellegrino (aka Jacob) actually does play the Devil. BTW, on Supernatural, Titus Welliver (aka Man in Black) plays War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (he drove a sweet little red mustang (becuase war is described as riding a red horse).
And why is there no theory about when MIB said Jacob took body and/or humanity? That was my jaw drop moment of the whole episode. I dont know if it is just the Mormons who believe that the only reason we humans come to earth is to recieve a physical body ( I mean as well as prove to God the we are worthy of being in his present for all eternity, are obedient to His will, etc.) as a vehicle for the after life or not but that is kind of what I thought instantly when ge said that. MIB is starting to remind me of that movie Bedazzled (I like the original one with Michael Caine not the one with Brenden Fraiser).
Answers? Thought? Anyone on here besides lurkers and bots? Hello?

Cocoa…I PROMISE I have one coming about MIBs “body”…
I have to ask you something and tell you something…Dont get mad…
First, did you post a few spoilers on here when you first arrived?
Dont take that the wrong way…Im not being negative with it regardless of if it was or was not you.
If it wasnt, my sincere apologies…
If it was, than kudos for not doing it anymore for starters.
Second, I have to say thank you regarding your recent “spoiler” call out.
Although it kind of bugs me to be reading something, whether agreeing or not, then seeing someone tell the theorist to stay off the spoiler page, meaning it is indeed a spoiler by you simply saying that…
BUT…what it does, more importantly, is call out a cheater…which is what that is…its cheating.
This is a big game for me. The right or wrong almost doesnt matter…the simple idea that a television show has people researching and reading (I dont want to say learning…it may scare some away) then have someone give the answers before they exist, almost defeats why many people watch television…which is kind of funny in my opinion…
Either way, by you doing that, it shows us who does indeed play by the rules, and eliminates that person being able to ever come back and say they figured something out.
I dont do spoilers. I picked up the show in season 2 somewhere and got caught up. In getting caught up, I used theory sites to learn somewhat what was happening…it wasnt very fun.
I began theorizing under a different screenname, and changed to this one on the old LT site, somewhere in season 3 I believe, maybe in between 3 and 4.
Spoilers were rampant, and somewhat ruined the show for me.
When I first saw your name and info, I saw you were a “spoiler queen”, lol, and admit to steering clear of your beginning posts.
I sometimes would run into a few of your posts by accident, and upon noticing there were no spoilers, began reading them more often as you posted.
This all leads to me pretty much being grateful to have you here, and thought that if it were all to happen again, it would be wise for an admin to have someone like you on their side noticing things that they cant or dont want to…
In short, thank you for being the hall monitor, and for your good thoughts to date…
I promise something GOOD (and original)with the thought above that you question…keep up the good work, and thanks again…
You know I looked through all 38 of my posts I didnt notice what could be consider a spoiler in any of them, no complaints at least, but if you could point to some specifically, I would appreciate it. I really dont want to be a hypocrite. Like I have said, I am off the spoiler bandwagon for this season. I try my very best to be articulate my thoughts but as I have said many times I am not as articulate nor eloquent or diligent in my research as some on here such as yourself but I do try to make little contributions to our community here. I look forward to your theory.
You do make great observation and ask questions that matter. I appreciate that kind of thing a lot…makes you think about many of the issues that fall behind the main arch for the week…
My apologies about the spoiler question…I may have just been scared off by the words in your profile.
Like I said…Im definitely glad youre here, especially with your knowledge this time of year…for busting people and finding missing links that many forget or miss in the show…
Im a nook and cranny person too, everything means something…
Keep up the good posts and questions…
AES – I think you’re confusing cocadoll with cocafreckles 🙂
On your supernatural comment – Its pretty amazing really how similar Jacob and Lucifer are played.. The whole ‘you can kill me if you want, its your choice’ vs ‘i need you to let me use your vessel, but its your choice’ .. Both characters seem to quietly and subtly manipulate the people around them.
And i had no idea the horseman was played by the same character of MIB
How crazy! 🙂
