sorry…I read that fast and my mind was running…he did say that.
I was thinking in terms of before they got to the island in season 4 (possiby connecting the alt and the old time line)…my mistake…and good memory either way…
Thanks A.E.S.- that wouldve open up a new way of viewing both timelines if that was true. I still think that after it is all said and done, there is going to be one minor detail or clue that was given to us that we missed which wouldve solved Lost before the end
Perperper, I agree with you about Chang not looking older. I thought Chang shouldve looked somewhat as old looking as Roger Linus, except Roger was basically on his death bed. I still think it is great how they had Ben providing Roger with one gas that is keeping him alive in the alt world and one that killed him on the island. Sorry got off track, anyway good post.
Well, what I wanna know is if Chang was on the Island as well.
One of the most important peices could then be him as he could serve as the most “Aware” and spread link to the Losties.
He presented the Award to Hurley, and as we know they met on the Island, it’s possible Hurley might remember him – and if so, that could set off a chain event bringing more Losties together faster(which is of the essence now that we have so few episodes left)
Chang being aquainted with Hurley, father to Miles, working with Charlotte and so forth.
I mean, from what little we understand the DI went to the Island this “time” too
More importantly, why doesn’t Chang have a prosthetic arm in the sideways?
His arm was crushed moments BEFORE Jughead was detonated, thus, if you’re one of the people claiming that Jughead created the sideways, he should still have a prosthetic arm….none of the details prior to Jughead should be different in either timeline.
They kind of made Chang look older in the ALT. I kind of think it was just a bad make-up job.
risebysin- I thought we couldn’t see Changs left arm in the ALT. If thats the case, presumably, it still could have gotten lopped off in the 70’s. Also, i don’t think any of the details prior to 1977 are different. Are they??
Here’s the deal:
Jughead went off and split the timeline. In one timeline (ALT) a chain of events took place that led to the island sinking (the bomb didn’t sink the island, something after did). In the other timeline a button needed to be created and hit every 108 min.
@risebysin, lots of things are different in the alt even before the detonation, eg Jack has a son, Hurley didn’t win the lottery, Sawyer is a cop. It’s different because Jacob didn’t influence their lives this time around (at least I think that’s why).
perperper – Jack does have a son, yes, but he is what, around 15 years old? That means he would’ve been born after Jughead (Late 80’s / early 90s).
Hurely does win the lottery, he just now has Good Luck, rather than bad.
These events happen after Jughead so I don’t think anything changed before the detonation.
However, Sawyers decision to be a cop is one that can be puzzling, because Jacob visited him before Jughead (outside the church at his parents funeral), and if we’re to believe Jacob was an influence on his decision to turn bad guy, then he should still be a bad guy in the ALT.
But, if MIB has a way of manipluating things in the ALT then I think this could account for it. Afterall, if MIB can only manipulate things in the ALT then he would only be able to do so AFTER Jughead (the cause of the ALT).
In the Alt, Alex was no longer Ben’s daughter, so in principle Mile’s Dad may also no longe rbe Mile’s Dad… just throwing that out there.
I thought Chang had a little more gray hair than before?
Nachochris, Ben was never Alex’ biological father.
I am pretty sure Miles told Sawyer that Charolette worked with his Dad, in Recon before he set them up on a date.
wehave2goback…that could be huge…can you verify this?
Good thought and memory if correct…

ok i guess he doesn’t look exactly the same but its been like 30 years surely he should look older

alex in the original was never bens doughter either. he stole her from the french lady.
