  1. Chief… Lapidus was alive, did fly the plane and rescure the Losties… Hurley also took over the role of protector… I must not be as dumb as you thought…

    Lapidus Lives!

  2. Sort of. I’m a little upset about how WRONG I was. I thought the plane wasn’t able take off. I thought Aaron would play a larger role. I thought life on Earth would be affected somehow. I thought Christian would have a bigger role. I thought maybe the light was a meteor (it sure looked like someone created it.) I’m just a little upset that we’re all left in the dark like we are. It was a lot of fun while it lasted and I guess that’s all that matters.

  3. I wish that in the end that only Lapidus, miles and Alpert were the ones to fly away. That would explain why they weren’t in the church. Putting Sawyer and Kate on their doesn’t really make sense. When did they die???

I think that they all died during the plane crash and Jack was the last one to finally die.

  4. They died when they got off the island and realized that the writers didn’t knew what they were talking about.

Most people on this site could have written a better ending.

  5. you guys are crazy. the ending was fine. lighten up.

Bdiddy, I think this was much deeper than Jacob’s Ladder and I think it comes down to a lot more than “they were dying”, yes that is what the alt was, them letting go and finding eachother and moving on.

But for 5 seasons it was them be putting on a path to save the world and then actually doing it. it was great

  6. JacobsDoubleWide – but how did they save the world? What would’ve happened if Flocke had gotten off the island?

To me The End didn’t explain anything that we’ve been witnessing on the island for the past 6 seasons, and only explained something that they introduced to us in this season. It’s dissapointing.

  7. Chief, Aaron was never special. The psychic that told Claire that he was special or whatever was revealed to be a phony in one of the Eko centric episodes. And as for Claire appearing to Kate and telling her she better not bring him back, and Christian saying that he is where he needs to be (off island), why would you want to bring a young baby to a crazy ass island? Everyone assumes MIb didn’t want him on the island for a reason. There was no reason for aaron to be on the island.

  8. @Emzi – exactly what I was going to write to JacobsDoubleWide.

I agree with him, cause Widmore ept repeating it… But based on the ending there was nothing to protect from right? They were already dead.

O runless they chose never to show the threat faced in the island time f or the rest of the world?

Ae we meant to assume this? did the writers want to be clever and let us guess this so we would rewatch and buy dvds?

  9. Re. comment #11, I reckon Jacob went to the psychic when his daughter died and agreed to bring her back as long as he convinced Claire to get on the plane. Makes sense. Anyway, I am in the camp of those who loved the ending! Sure, they could have explained things a bit more, but the lack thereof didnt make me enjoy the past six years of watching any less. I loved every minute!
