Glyph on wall, and what Dogen said
I have two questions, both of which are not exactly vital to the story, but im damn curious!
1. What was the glyph on the wall when Hurley was about to do whatever with it before Dogen interrupted him?
2. What the heck did Dogen say to Hurley after being pwnd by the candidate?
I know that the last circular hieroglyph that we see is called a Shen-ring. It’s the Egyptian symbol for “Eternity.” It is also used as a symbol of “Protection.” I have to thank my friend for this one… She has a small tattoo of this symbol on her ankle.
I don’t know what any of the others mean or have any idea what Dogen said… I imagine it was something sarcastic.

Yep, it was a shen. If anyone has screenshots of the other ones, i can translate them for you.
I was wondering if the secret door took them to a different/alternate “version” of the island, which is why they never saw the lighthouse before.
interesting thought, spoeklet, but we saw Kate there as well, and she definitely wasn’t in some other version of the island.

There was something weird about the interaction with Kate though – I need to rewatch it but it didn’t quite fit. Anyone have any thoughts?
