What if Richard Malkin, Psychic, was MIB?
Ok, here is a wacky and alternate look at all of this Richard Malkin talk (kinds dawned on me last night. I went back and watched season 1 episode 10)…
What if Richard Malkin IS MIB. I choose MIB over Jacob because we know MIB can change forms.
And in watching the episode, its amazing how Thomas went from being the one all excited about having the baby, to 3 months later, seemingly out of the blue, leaving… and nto even being able to look Claire in the eyes when he told her… almost like someone told him “In order to save your child, you can never see him again…”
And that person would have to be MIB if that were the case. And moments later, when Claire goes back to Richard, he is certain that the “baby’s father will play no role”. As if he knows the deal…..
This could also explain why Claire is so comfy around MIB as “Flocke” and calls him a friend now. She knows it was because of him that all of this is happening… and she things he is the side of good (which I am starting to think also… Im not convinced Jacob is the good guy in this game.)
The beginning of “Raise by Another (1×10) has Claire running in a dream and she comes across Locke of all people (with one black eye and one white eye) telling her its all her fault because she didn’t raise Aaron.
Just another random theory… thoughts? Don’t even get me restarted on the similarities of Charlotte Malkins death and resurrection to Sayid’s

almost like someone told him “In order to save your child, you can never see him again…”
To me that sounds more Jacob based on what we learnt about dogen last episode
But the rest does sound very MIB like.. So maybe Jacob told Thomas to leave, unknowing Claire was going to see Malkin a.k.a. MIB?
Hmm it is interesting.. Surely Malkin and co. must have a bigger part in all this
What if it was a deal he made so his drowned daughter would live.
waycurious, I think you are right. Actually, since I’ve already posted the same thought already in a comment to some other theory, I should say that I think I am right. I would normally not do that kind of thing, but I’m beginning to learn how possessive we are about our ideas at this site. 😉
