daddy issues

not sure how this is relevant/important in any way, but the thought came to me when i was writing my other post about the books and this just came to me…. every single character on the show has some sort of daddy issues:
jack: wanted to make his daddy proud but cant
sawyer: daddy killed mommy
hurley: dad had been gone most of his life
clair: didnt even know who her dad was
kate: step dad was abusive
miles: thought his dad was dead most of his life
sun: the overprotective “you do things my way” kinda dad
jin: was embarrased of his dad for being a fisherman
david: jack acting like his dad
ilana: “jacob was the only father i ever knew” so didnt know her real dad
sayid: his dad was trying to make omer break the chicken’s neck and he couldnt do it, so sayid did it and his dad was like oh at least i have one son to be proud of, so he wanted his son to be violent?
shannon: was basically the definition of a girl with daddy issues
ok i’m sure there’s many more, what i’m trying to get at is all of their problems that turned them to who they were came from their dads
I posted the exact samething a long time ago an I think my title actually was daddy issues as well.
You forgot Aaron, Walt, & maybe Charlie Pace could be considered as well because he never wanted to be a butcher like his father but it seem he was a good dad when Charlie was young and their swimming at a pool.
An how can you leave out the biggest one with daddy issues?

Maybe Mr. Eko but we dont for sure, an maybe Boone since his parents arent even together.
hey bing sorry forgot to do a search before i posted, i didnt know you had posted the same thing. but yeah i think the dad’s def have an important role in everything. as a friend of mine said, maybe Lost is just a 6 season long PSA for not being a dead beat dad lol
Mommy issues (most of them were at LEAST emotionally abusive).
Jack’s mom crabs at him for nothin’
Kate’s mom calls the cops on her and LET her step-dad be abusive
Hurley’s mom put his no-good dad (and her ‘needs’) before him
Jin’s mom dumped him for the streets
John’s mom never cared and sold him out
Mile’s mom was a master b****
Dan’s mom shot him and sent him to his death
Sawyer’s mom ruined his happy family
Ji Yeon’s mom dumps her ASAP
Aaron’s mom’s crazy
MIB’s mom was crazy
