Eloise’s deal with the devil?

So this has been rumbling around in my brain a bit.
We’ve seen some deals with the devil…specifically Dogen, who had to give up ever seeing his child again so that the child could live.
What deal do you think Eloise had to make? After all, she knowingly sent her child time-traveling all over the place, all the while knowing (I think) that she was going to shoot him when he arrived back in 1977.
Thoughts?
I think this basically proves that they were always in that year.. So i think she sends him there because she thinks there will be big consequences with trying to change the past.
But thats just my take on it
