Nice post and map. Lot’s of thought went into this I can tell. I for one believe the island is moving along what is called lay lines. There is an interesting theory around this and how they work with exotic energy.
Took about half an hour from thinking to posting so not that long incredibly lol. Thanks anyway and I will look up your theory and comment back here with what I think.
Username – Iv inserted a picture of a set of global Ley Lines are these the particular ones of which you refer or do you have your own personal ones that you believe te island runs on? Only other Ley Lines I can find tend to mainly be just inland not global whic obviously we need for the Island. If you have an image of any other Ley Lands like these post them somewhere like ‘Fun’ and let me no on here. I would be very grateful. Cheers.
Wesley, you certainly did put a lot of research and thought into your theory.
I had thought about ‘the island’ and its first origins, and thought it was possible that at one time, it was part of a larger land mass, that broke away. Thus, the ancient connections.
Tectonic plates, would be the supporting evidence of this, as it pertains to the electromagnetism on the oceans seafloor.
What you present is definitely plausible, and well worth consideration.

The pics up username however just realized the line used is on land…..how would that be possible? i like it tough coz each point is basically a seperate jump. where was the exit again? i have a feeling the exit has more to do with the movements of the island then we think…..if the island constantly moves why does the exit stay put?
Weird how Tunisia falls exactly on one of the squares btw…..very interesting…..i think this is one of the theorys im intrigued by but stumped because of my lack of knowledge on such things…..because ley lines haven’t been proven for or against shows it could well be what the writers have in mind. im just wondering why that specific suare for the exit? why not use one of the central points….would make more sense no?

hi wesley, that also doesn’t fit for me either, why the exit point. there was a better theory on that about a year ago, where the numbers represented the exact coordinates of the Island and the exact opposite part of the globe just happened to land in Tunisia. but then Hawkins tells us that the island is always moving. does she mean in space or in time? she was not specific, but we can assume space as the globe on the floor indicated as much. coincidentally, the points on the floor tended to match up with the ley lines. i’ll see if i can find an image of the floor map.
username – if your up for a bit of light reading i’ve found a site on ley lands that is very interesting…..it also goes with my original theory that the others are Atlanteans and Jacob is an Ascended being. Its basically to do with ancient maps and that somehow 4000 years BC a world map was done which included Antarctica with no ice just pure land mass……4000 years BC seems a pretty long time ago for someone to have gone wandering around drawing maps to detail as they are today. Also it is believed Columbus had gained possession of one of these Atlantean maps and that is why he believed the world to be round. Anyway if your interested in reading goto –
lol no smokey afetr all they are written on for a reason. They are just there to indicate the points 4,8,15,16,23 and 42….added in afterwards. I personally can’t see any relevance to them but if you can do share.
username – I think so thanks to you. i’ve never really paid attention to the theorys of where the island was because in away it is irrelevant to whats happening on the island but knowing where it is could explain things like time shift…..on the site you just read did you like the part about the points where things go missing and the story of the pilot that says his radio went down for like an hour and he was just flying straight for like 350 miles before regaining radio contact to find out it had only been like 10 seconds since his last radio check in. Weird huh? I think this has alot of relevance with our island and will be very surprised if its not. Well its getting late nowso i’m going to bed. Not that it isnt true, but what could it actually prove. I did see the lines dont match to Hawking’s, but I am intrigued by this. I have to wonder what it would mean at this point. What purpose could this have, and how could the Losties use the knowledge to their advantage? Or is it alluding to something bad that would occure. Im not very familiar in this subject, but could the infamous vocano play in this in any way, cause or effect?

Explain Khmer…I get it, but many may not know what it is.
I actually dont agree with the smoke monster hideout there, and sorry, but I just dont know enough about it to argue either way, so if you want to take this and run, really nobody can stop you.

I do like the relationship of khmer. It has very spiritual/religious ties with hinduism and buddhism.
Theravada Buddhism is the final product of these clashes/relationship of faiths.

Lastly, Noble eightfold pathway…meaning being the good guys basically. Doing what is truly right, walking the rightous path, white over black, good over evil

Well as always deviation of the original post has taken place…..I started of thinking about where the island actually is and its pathway…..i first discovered most of the destinations that we know where the island has been are all all certain parts of the tectonic plates. Now however username has swayed me to believeing the ley lines theory as all same points are still there with extra info to go with. Have you visited the site we discuss above? Has some very interesting stuff there. Relating back to mysterious disappearances and time distortion fields. Ancient research and maps all coming up with same information. It also hints on Atlanteans and the lost city of Atlantis which ties up with my original theory along time ago. If you haven’t alredy done so have a read. You won’t be disappointed. The Khmer aspect was just something I stumbled upon wen going threw some of the Lost Experience stuff. There was a video clip of about 20 seconds that showed ruins pretty much like the ones of Smokeys Lair and the voice over just said ‘ The capital of Khmer has been abandoned for over a century and been encroaced by the surrounding forest. It looked very Lost like. I will try and find it tomorrow but for tonight you will have to take my word for it 🙂
I know you like your religious part of Lost and what I believe to be Khmer ruins I believe may lead to Smokeys origin. I think the island is a build up of different times from different places meaning different religions. I will research this more tomorrow as I believe it will take time lol. I like it. I like it alot lol. The cryptozoology and buddhism aspects link to my theory. Dabs says that the thought things (i forgot what they were called) come from Buddhism. My theory was that Smokey was from Cambodia the home of Hindu and Buddhism. Dabs seemed to not think how the thought thing could get its own personality…..this could be because of the exotic energys on the island. Pretty sure it was her but cant check because not got my Lost discs with me 🙁 Im moving so half my stuff is still at the folks house….3 hours away lol. All i’ve got is my memory and it isn’t that good lol. But constantly moving in time I thought would be obv…..we’re constantly moving in time at the rate of 60 secs a minute lol.
Well another reason to believe it is people all arrived on the island from different points aswell so it must be moving or theres some kind of vortex that transports people to the island from certain points all around the world. Im not to sure though I think I believe the island moving or jumping to different points across the globe…..would explain why Widmores having difficulty finding it. Although I dont think he has….I think it’s more of a case that he just doesn’t want Ben to be leader. He’s never made an attempt to personally get to the island. Getting back to the point do you have any oter explanations for the island picking people up in different points around the world?

Just one question and that is about recreating the journey of how they arrived…..the losties only partially recreated it and they didn’t have to be themselves but maja roles ie convict and escort, man with guitar, man travelling with coffin and so on. Its key points not people….however you could well be right as they are put to sleep when brought to the island therefore making it impossible to know under what circumstances they arrive. Good thoughts…..I have a new theory on smokey that alot of people will hate but I think it has potential. Hints for it are…….the show was intended to be based on the programme survivor…….whos eyes have we only ever seen through on the show…….smokey likes to take pictures. Here’s my problem with all of this. There is evidence that we’re not dealing with a normal island. We’ve seen that the island can travel in time and can be moved physically (I think). How does that work? An island created naturally through tectonic plate and volcanic activity, is really just a mountain on the ocean floor tall enough to stick out of the water, right? It’s connected to the ground at the bottome of the ocean. How the heck does something like that move? Might it not end up someplace where it sticks way out of the water? Or maybe someplace where it is completely submerged? How much of it moves? All the way down to the ocean floor or just the bit at the top? If it’s just the bit at the top then why doesn’t it sink?
I think the island could well be a man made creation legacy of the Atlanteans or something….so if it was made at some point it could just well be floating on the surface of the water along tectonic plates or on ley lines. This fits in with how the island moves physically when moved in time because if you have something continually moving along a line then send it back in time it will go back to where it was along that line….this is more for you actually AES because you said you have a problem wit the island moving physically aswell…..if it were stationary and then travelled in time it would always be in the same spot would it not? sumat to think about.
well put wesley, parts of this show is science fiction and it does not all have to make sense, but it needs to be plausible. what you have posted seems really plausible when you consider all the connections you mention.

I believe much of the phenomena we have seen will only get a cursory explanation. If you’re theory is true then this is one of them.

Theory goes that there are exotic energies that exist at the intersects, so the idea is that this kinda maps to what Hawkins was saying.
But I agree with your concept, it would make more sense that exotic energy would be dispersed along fault lines theoretically.

i my be wrong, but the exit in the pics at the top appears to be too far east to be tunisia and is in fact in Egypyt.
