Juliets ‘Mark’?
There has not been much wrote about this, which is surprising as it was given to her by Ben, a key player on the Island, and must be of some importance?
Could it be related to the reason why Juliet is also travelling/travelled with our Losties, and seems to be the only ‘Other’ who is?
It was given to her as sign of her betrayal. Could it also be her punishment?, And could it be that the ‘mark’ is what makes her able to move through time!! Or Ben’s way of putting her with the Losties whom she seems to have took sides with.
Also the scar is vague and can mean many things, but doesn’t it resemble the Frozen Donkey Wheel a little? It’s probably nothing but would like to open up the discussion.

It’s a stamp on her lower back. We probably won’t see it again until island club night. Normally it’s covered up by her DHARMA overalls…
Ok, I kid. I suspect that it will come up again… It was put there for a reason, right? It could be that at some point the Pasties are ousted from DHARMA for whatever reason and may attempt to join up with the Hostiles… and the Hostiles will probably recognize that symbol…

That might have “marked” her as a non-other, or released her of Others’ responsabilities, allowing her to flash through time, while the rest of ‘the Others’ didn’t.
I have no memory of it though, so if someone could post a picture, it would be much appreciated.
The mark in question was applied after Ben commuted her sentence and stopped her “trial” after she killed another Other (can’t remember his name). The Other in question was quite vengeful towards the losties becasue his wife died after a gunshot wound from Sun. Anyway, Juliet shot him in order to let Sawyer, Kate, and Karl excape the Hydra in an outrigger.
We’ve seen the “mark” elsewhere: The mark is the same as a mark on a tree that designates where an Other’s weapons cache is located near the beach camp – so we don’t know the mark is a “bad” thing….we do know it has meaning to the Others, however, we don’t know the full meaning(s).

Dont believe evrything you read on Lostpedia…its not concrete to anything…BUT…I agree there is much intrugue to Juliets ‘mark’…
You and me, were 2 for 2 in agreement on your theories, nice job with that.
The scientology cross is a possiblility, unfortuanatly, a good one at that.
But I think it is a way to throw in another ‘religion’ into the mix of faith stew.
I have also seen the inverted cross on a few templar sites, although, I do not know the validity.
I have a templar, kind of, theory titled “A unique marriage proposal from science to religion”
This theory correlates with both of you posts in a way.
btw..if I gave you the wrong theory, let me know. Ive done several on the science/faith connection and confuse them often
There’s definately something up with Juliette, she knows more than she lets on. She and Ben were pretty close before 815 crashed and he must have told her stuff, either that or she’ll know more about Ben than anyone else (apart from Richard and Widmore).
Keep an eye on her, she’s a sneaky one…
