Radzinsky an intriguing charater!
So this guy called Radzinsky, was living in the Swan then a man called Inman shows up! After a bit of time Radz shows Inman the secrets of the Swan ‘ how to trigger a lockdown and a secret map he was working on!
Now, fast forward three years, go back 30years in time! And a ‘middle aged’ crazy, paranoid Radzinsky is living in Dharmaville! Infact we also find out he is basically an early version of Mikhail (living in the Flame) and has some involvement in the construction/design/function of the original Swan station!
So, for all my dithering about! I have a few questions!
1). How does Radz end up in the Swan pushing the button atleast 20 years later than the 1977 version we see? (Working on Des arriving in 2004 and Inman having been alone for a little while after being in the 2nd Gulf War so putting Inman and Radz working together around 2002!!)
2). Why does Radz not tell Inman more than he does about the island (or does he?!)
3). If Radz has been in the Swan since atleast the purge (approx 1992) why does he wait ten years to blow his own head of (if Inman was telling the truth)
Anyway lots of questions about Radzinsky! Sorry no answers! Just find it intriguing that a man as seemingky unstable as him would be charged with ‘saving the world’ by pusing the button!
Comments, answers and thoughts welcome J

Thank you for this not being a Radzinsky is Faraday post…I find that to bee too much…
I imagine him being in the swan for one of two reasons…
1)The Swan is his baby…he is probably just crazy enough to volunteer..
2)He serves as a threat to the Losties story, he wants unanswered questions to turn into death for the questioned..
He may tell Inman about the island, but I think he already knows a good bit. I think we will find out Kelvin is actually an ‘other’ in the long run…could be wrong on that one…
As for the suicide, it may tie in with your first question about the time differences. Could it be that Radzinsky begins concience jumping with no constsant, having something to do with the island travelling in time or the war, or the wheel being turned, and suicide eases the pain
Sorry, trying to help out, not a lot of info on Radzinsky though…
The title of the post is most appropriate.
A lot of the chronology doesn’t make sense in terms of who controls the geography of the island and when?
Brother Des
Great post!
radz is very interesting, he is very unstable, maybe even psychotic. It really doesn’t tie in with responsibility level he is eventually given. I think he may have invented the system and then used his self obsessed viewpoint to convince everyone it had to be him to save the world. He probably then would feel christ like and couldn’t tell inman more than he had to and finally he lost his mind and then his brain!!
With the way the writers are going I expect one of the losties to end up in the swan station when he loses it, they seem to be evreywhere else, lol.
I just hope its not another situation where the writers have tied themselves in knots! bit like Danielle having Alex. Ben alledgedly takes her then she must live with Dharma (or the Others) for four years before the purge….does not add up at all!!
I’m hating Radzinski. He’s annoying. All he can say is kill kill kill! Hope he offs himself soon.
Absolutely! I was hoping he would be quite interesting, but he is just a nut job! Bring back Clancy Brown! Inman was to short lived!
I say kill em both off, let Jacob sort it out….
Now Jacob does annoy me! “seen” twice, mentioned a handful of times but suppose to be the guy in charge, and the man fans can’t wait to see!
It better not be Locke with a wig 🙂 …….probably Tom’s gay lover!!
My theory is that Kelvin is going to kill Radzinski. I don’t blame him either… after being stuck in the Swan with him…
Yea Kelvin is a big guy (The Kurgen afterall) so I don’t think he would stand a chance! dare i say it but Desomond got lucky!
