Hidden significance of the metal filling guy
After watching Some Like it Hoth I found myself emphasising the importance of the DI member who died in the swan due to his metal filling shooting through his skull. He is featured prominently throughout the episode but still remains in the background of the story. So I started overviewing his circumstances in my mind.
His death by filling occurred in the swan and as we find out about it we are shown a secretive process of dealing with his body. At first I assumed that this was simply the DI covering their tracks, and this very well may be the case. I began to question this however when the body was taken to the Orchid, why in the world would it be taken to the Orchid? As we see Dr. Chang rejoining Miles, Miles asks him about the body, and Chang replies “what body?”. Now based on this i came up with my theory, its far-fetched so feel free to discuss. I think that the DI sent the body to the Orchid to bring it back to life. Since the orchid has time-travel properties maybe it can re-set the body to a pre-death state. I know this sounds ridiculous but I just had the feeling that there was more to that death than met the eye. As for the secrecy i mentioned earlier maybe it was to prevent people from knowing the DI worker died, so when he is brought back no one would think twice about seeing him again.
I seriously doubt that my theory holds any meaning, but just thought id put it out there. Feel free to comment however you wish.

IF they are messing around with time travel in the Orchid at this time, then perhaps having a “body” is good to experiement with! sick i know, but atleast they would have a test subject to see if anything happends to his body!
I was thinking the exact same thing and held off posting for the same reasons you gave. Good on you for posting this though
Then the more i thought about it i started to wonder….. Jacob?? but didnt know how to put it into a question without people shooting it down due to it being another Jacob theory/question
