Jack’s Destiny, Eloise and Daniel both right?

Their comments to Jack, Eloise telling him that it is his destiny to go back to the island, Daniel telling Jack that she’s wrong, they don’t belong here’ again this will be a bit loopish (which is totally my opinion on the end of the show, a la the Dark Tower, which i posted the other day and wish i hadn’t now that i read AES has been doing it for some time, oops, to quote homer, its my first day). Now when daniel says to jack that it was not his destiny to come to the island, that they don’t belong there he doesn’t mean this time around, he means altogether as in Jack was NEVER meant to come to the island. According to Daniel it was not 815’s destiny to crash on the island and he says that what they do in 1977 can potentially prevent that erroneous event from happening. Therefore in a way both he and his mom are right, daniel saying its not jacks destiny to come to the island (2004) and eloise saying it is jacks destiny to go back to the island (2007-1977). Because he must go back in order to never have gone to the island in the first place’

plus she knows its his destiny to go because she remembers meeting jack in her past, which will, at the time (2007) be jacks future return to the island’ my head hurts. But with this logic, it is Jack’s destiny to both go to the island and not to ever have gone/doesn’t belong on the island and in fact they must both happen for that destiny to be fulfilled. Loopy logic at its best.

  1. carpie21, it may be ‘loopy logic’ as you say, but to deny that logic be even ‘loopier’, IMO. lol

I happen to believe there is a ‘loop like effect’, which will eventually come to light.

I have also written a theory entitled, Yep they’re in a time loop, quite awhile ago, if you’re interested in reading it. AES also wrote a few theories on the subject.

Great thoughts! You should have posted this in the theories section!

  2. I posted this part as well on another thread but since we’re talking Daniel and his knowledge of destiny in 1977, I’ll post it again here.

This is about the comment made to daniel by Ellie in 1954. This may seem a bit out there (but this is lost so how out there can it be right?) What if daniel is not dead, well not completely. Just like there were presumably two Lockes, one watching the other get treatment on his leg
