Black Rock Theory
I’ve been thinking about the Black Rock lately. What if Richard and his crew came from the ship, i dont know exactly, 100 years ago. At this time they meet the original inhabitants of the island. These people built the statue, erected the temples, yada yada. There weren’t too many of these people left but they take Richard and his people in and teach them the island’s secrets.
I love Richard but I think he lies and is a fake. I think he becomes power hungry on the island and kills off the original inhabitants, but during this is also killed. By the way I believe Richard is dead, this is why he never ages, not because he is a time traveler. Now Richard is stuck in limbo and trying to lead his crewmates through the years. They act like they are the protectors of the island but in fact they are all fakers
Two really odd things about Richard defy a lot of theories concerning him.
ONE: He can travel off island and interact with the real world (recruit Juliet, operate a video camera with a satellite antenna, etc.
TWO: He is almost always the same except in the scene where he has longer hair and meets Ben for the first (?) time.
Do dead people change their clothing (ever so slightly) over the decades? Does their hair grow out so they need to have them cut?
If the island is keeping Richard young and dead-alive how can he go off and come back at will?
maybe richie rich won’t age until he gets back to where he came from.stuck in a time warp or something
Yes of course Richard came from the black rock thats a given. He is able to go back and forth from the island to normal places cause when the ship was pulled onto the island it created a whole through the magnetic field, so when he leaves through that he whole he is basically able to go back and forth into different times. However as a fact of time travel you can only travel back as far as when the time machine was created, and my assumptions are it was created way before the black rock landed there, hense the big inca like statue….Although i do somethings think that the big wheel does look like a ships stearing wheel thingy. So i aint sure, but I know that they certainly wernt the first people on the Island.

If Richard is from the Black Rock then there’s a good chance that we can figure out which country the ship came from. (the language he and llana were speaking)
