  1. I really like the last part for me totally explains the non aging and illness etc.. its also why children can’t be born, they don’t grow. This only happens once these stations are created which explains why births happne now.

  2. It’s an interesting idea about the fertility problems but I doubt that the problem will have anything to do with time. Time problems cannot explain why the womb would age and the rest of the body wouldn’t. It seems to me that a time problem that made it impossible to have children would simply prevent conception.

  3. If Jacob is Jack, and Richard watched them ALL die, then how would?

Not that I havent had Jack=Jacob arguments with myself, lol, but since the last two episodes, I think I have gotten over that hump in my Lost Life.

I think if Jacob ends up being ANYBODY we know, it is a Hanso, most likely Magnus, and if it HAS to be a Lostie, I would put my money on Aaron…

Good logic in your thoughts, seriously, just seems Richard truly did in his past, watch them all die, and I think that if one of them was Jacob, after the last few episodes, I would be sort of disapointed.

  4. 1.to highbrow: jacob as a notion does not exist in 1954. locke somehow gives birth to the jacob myth same way he gave alpert the compass to be found later given back to locke to give to richard to remember him. or thats how i understood it. please feel free to correct if you found or came up with something else

    2. to gk21: mate go watch the timeloop theory in youtube..the guy who thought of it is a genius as far as im concerned he says a lot, a whole lot more which i could mention here but i dont want to spoil it for you.

    3. to highbrow: “that a time problem that made it impossible to have children would simply prevent conception.” the way i went about it is that since ben got control of dharma stations after purge he figured out a way to connect the swan with the orchid with first intention to hide the island so that ousted widmore couldnt find it…when he succeeded..he thought..why not create an utopia..a new civilisation..but the 108 reset meant they couldnt have children or reproduce..the conception could well happen within 108 minutes i think (maybe a doctor can correct us) but then the island would reset itself at a momnet where no conception was taking place…enter juliet

    4. to a.e.s : richard saw the dharma people die…but jack aint with the dharma people no more…jack is in the caves..away from dharma..and there is also the myth/thoery that alpert was the first one to use the dharma time machine and send himself back even prior to black rock;s arival with all the preknowledge and knwoing where to be all the time and not ageing…because just like jack and hurley go back to 1970 witht heir 2007 bodies likewise richard goeas back to 1900 lets say but with his 40 year old body as he was when he entered the time-machine. however i believe that this myth can be called busted cause, where you would have thought richard had preknowledge of locke appearing with a bullet in his leg, comes the last episode to totally f*ck this up showing locke as the one with the pre-knowldege of everything.

i also consider that the whispers that the losties hear in season one are themselves from another timeline (???weird???)

  5. Right, I get what you’re saying about the pregnancy issues. But why wouldn’t this problem simply terminate a pregnancy 108 minutes or less in? Why does the pregnancy make it through two trimesters before it kills both mother and child? And why does it only affect the womb?

  6. i was just about to say what highbrow last said…..that cant be the problem bc the women stay pregnant for months before they die…not 108 minutes….the time loop theory was interested…when i first read it awhile back i was like wow thats great….but now….not so much

  7. good theory and to be honest weve never actually seen anyone get older on the island after the others take charge – walt leaves, aron leaves ben and ethan both grew up so good theory i like it

  8. ive thought alot about hte losties stayin in the past and controlling events from their plane crash from the temple….but i dont think all of hte losties stay in the past…i think they do get back….but with at least one of them getting left behind…and that one person ageing on the island all those years and knows what happens and has been the one supplying the food drops and such for the losties….it would have to be a charactor in the back ground right now…i think jin…

  9. Interesting theory. It could be only cause when we saw the shadow of Jacob in first meeting some people said that it looked like John. I hope it is not, as I’d like to see Jacob be a completely diff character other than the shock factor of being one of the losties. Producers of the show said that time travel comes to an end so I believe the incident will bring back losties from 1977 to where they belong.

  10. It can’t be Jack, considering in either “What happened, happened” or a slightly previous episode Alpert digresses at something Widmore suggests and states something along the lines of “whatever we do, we must ask Jacob”.

This even takes place in the 1977 timeline, even before Jack is on the island.

My theory; Locke’s father is Jacob. It’s a stretch, but techincally Locke’s father got him to come to the island, and Jacob and Alpert have chosen him as the leader of the Others.

He was also seen on the island in early episodes of the show as a hallucination or ghost. But he still could’ve been real.

  11. also, has anyone come across the site “eyemsick”?

check it out. seriously. maybe some of you can understand what this guy is saying. i tried but he gets too philosophical involving post-modernism in lost with free will according to other philosophers referenced int he show. way too deep for me…..but because i see some of you are really in to it perhaps one of you could help?
