In the incident all metal objects were attracted to the electromagnetic force at the swan and all this action and the energy that was released caused a major catostrophie.

I think you summed it up pretty well. Ben put forks in the microwave so he could make a mess and access your “donkey” wheel. I don’t see any mystery in that.

Behind the concrete wall of the Vault is a tunnel, similar in design to Ben’s secret door. At the end of the tunnel is a ladder leading down a hole covered by ice, and at the bottom is a small ice cavern with hieroglyphs carved into several surfaces, a small lantern, and a large wheel embedded into a rock wall and encased in ice. The wheel apparently is the device which moves the island through space and/or time, and is apparently related to a massive electromagnetic discharge, as it sets off a reaction similar to the failsafe key in the Swan station.
thanks for the replies 🙂 now excuse me if my information is a bit messed up here but i’ll recall my memory as best I can. When Juliet got dragged into the swan in “the incident”, when we see her lying at the end of the well, she seems to be lying on water or sort of vicous beads or bubbles of water or liquid? Is this the pocket of energy that they hit. Also I remember vaguely before an episode where Dr.Chang was showing a worker a diagram of the full donkey wheel, but the other half was surrounded in these ball like particles, is this the “pocket” and the wheel is able to move these particles thus shifting time and space, have I got it right here, is that what the writers are going with? 🙂
