Why is ‘the temple’ on a Dharma Map?
Or have a Dharma symbol when handed to Alex/Rousseau as the place to go and hide in “Kevin Johnson”
And what the heck IS that temple and why didn’t he tell her about it before? (I know, “It wouldn’t be a sanctuary if everybody knew about it, now would it?”)
Finally, if “The rest of our people are already there” – why were 3 ‘extra’ people die by not heeding Saywer’s words. AND, why would he have kept Alex close up to then and not sent her to the safety of ‘the temple’?
If it were part of their worship, wouldn’t everyone know about it? Esp. Ben’s daughter?
Well I think within the others are 2 groups there are spiritual others then there are others.
The first group know all about jacob, and believe the island is special and needs to be protected at all costs.
the second group are others that were not born an other. And the people who aren’t others at all but just doctors or scientist (juliet). And aren’t told the secrets either because there not true blooded others or are just being used.
I think Alex falls under the second group, so does carl, juliet, and other others.
So … would that mean Carl was born to a newbie? [Ben says he is the rare one born on the island and he recruited most of the others YOU SEE.]
My main question is – why the Dharma pic for ‘the temple’ (with ‘temple’ handwritten, not printed. ) Any ideas?

I agree that the Temple is only for “official” others – therefore Karl, Alex, and Juliet were never told about it.
Nice catch about the Dharma logo. If the Temple can only be used by “Others” – and it’s a sanctuary worthy of a “smokey security system” – how was Dharma allowed to get anywhere near it?
The word TEMPLE was handwritten because the whole map was hand drawn.
Those 3 extra people that got killed during the Sawyer “rescuing” Claire scene – were extras from 815 that decided to go with Locke to the barracks instead of with Jack to the radio tower.
815 ‘extras’. That makes sense. (They had to be the dumbest people on Lost.)
