Will Lost end as it started?
Ok, I guess it’s been suspected by some people for a very long time that Lost will somehow end in the same way as it started, with Jack closing and/or opening his eye.
I believe the producers have said that they’ve known a long time what the final scene would be like, but I guess we don’t know much more than that.
And time loop theories aside, there is something time loopish over Lost. Think of the compass that somehow only seems to be handed over, never created. Think of Jacob’s and MIB’s seemingly almost eternal struggle that always ends the same. I guess it is clear from season 5 that Jacob is not only bringing Oceanic 815 over and over again, but also others such as The Black Rock.
So perhaps we don’t have any reason to guess that Lost will end as it started. Or do we?
I think so. I’d know for sure if it’s true what someone posted here that in the 1st episode Kate falls on Sawyer and he says something like, “I’ve been waiting for 4 years … “. It might end w/Jack/etc. gazing w/a bittersweet, self-satisfied smile into the vast ocean while standing on the beach – but I think it’ll be a loop or one person’s journey to some form of completeness.
Did you ever play/beat LOST Via Domus.
The game was godawful, something that horrible should not even be allowed to put the name LOST on it,
but….Damon & Carlton wrote the ending, which was INSANE!
I think this ending was a huge clue of how things would play out!

my computer crashed when i tried to load that game… i just watch.. i was thinking that is how the show might end..
I think there’s a good chance it will end the way it started, but not because of the usual timeloop idea. See my “Fall of Chronopolis” post for some more detail.
i wouldnt want the show to end the way the game did. i think it would be a great con if darlton leaked out a madeup original name, the circle, just to throw us off.

worst £20 i ever spent was on lost via domus, if the show ends the same i will be gutted, 6 series leading up to nothing, im sure it’ll finish better
