Time Changes Things
Hi, this isn’t a terribly long theory but I don’t have much time to write it nor the idea’s to expand at the moment
I will start with when Miles went to the Old woman’s house to do ghostbusting, If you remember; the frame on the wall changed, which sparked a lot of time travel paradox theories at the time. Now I thin I have found a similar happening in season 5.
The Physics department sign in Oxford changed in season 5. It used to say;
Department of Physics Clarendon 142-08, In episode 3; Jughead it says
Department of Physics Claredon 142-08
This could be a simple mistake by the Lost creator’s but then I thought, they would have to make an entirely new sign just to film this shot. Why would they go to that much effort just for a simple change of spelling. This was not as obvious as the frame but it’s still definitely a change.
Maybe the just “lost” the original sign and misspelled it when they made a new one?
In case you don’t have Tivo/DVD’s to refer to here is a picture to show what I am trying to say. The background picture is from 4×05 “The Constant” and the foreground picture is from 5×03 “Jughead”

Who know’s? I just thought I would share this with everyone else.
Bring on the criticism/adjustments etc.
I understand the scene with Miles, But what was the purpose of time travel in that scene I cant recall. Also what if when Miles went upstairs, grammsy just put up a different pic she liked more.
I’m not one for minor details which gets me in trouble sometimes. But why make it so difficult to the masses to watch a tv show. I think it is more of a recreational thing for the really hardcore fans.
couldn’t grab on to your link.
but Zeus…that would mean that it is possible in time travel to change the future, and that cant happen because its against ‘the rules’…hehe…just joking, its a great explanation of why some minor details do change. And kind of a ‘white out’ for writers to allow change in the story, or to correct mistakes. Nice catch.
Zeus, whether it’s continuity or subtle clues, I think it’s well worth noting! Nice catch.
Okay, sorry about the picture link I can’t figure out how to save my edits on this site, here is the direct link to the picture if the embedded one on this comment does not work.
