ok in the last episode we saw Christian talking to John about how he was supposed to move the island and not Ben. My problems here

bigdaveg, It doesn’t appear Jacob has a body, at least at present. lol I think he is using Christian Sheppard as his emissary.
Ben conned Locke into allowing him to turn the wheel. He needed to be on the outside world, first off, to get the ’06’ back to ‘the island’ safely, and secondly to exact the revenge on Penny he promised Widmore, for killing Alex. An eye for an eye!
When Locke does leave ‘the island’, Christian shows up to speak with him. Undoubtedly, he’d have done the same, if Locke had initially moved it, the first time, instead of Ben.
It appeared that Locke, intuitively knew what had to be done. At least, IMO.
I think Jacob is certainly calling the shots. Not Ben, he is someone who has fallen in and out of favor with the island it seems. Christian is definitely a messenger or emissary as dabiatchishere said above.
I also agree with Dabi that Christian would have guided him and shown him the way if needed, that was what he was there for this time.
