Children are the future

There is obviously a problem with the crash of 316. Locke and Ben didnt “flash”, among Frank and a woman, most likely Sun, and possibly Sayid. There was some reason why all of them didnt flash. The only thing that makes sense is as Mrs Hawking said, “this will have to do, for now”.
Funny, who didnt come back?
Aaron
Walt
and
Ji Yeon

Now, my first thought is, Abbadon questioned Locke on not bringing Walt back. The, with Aaron, whatever the hell Kate did with him, he is obviously vital to Lost. Lastly, I think maybe Ji Yeon was supposed to because she technically existed when they left the island, even if just a part of sun.
I have written a few theories lately on pregnancy, and children. Isnt it strange that the only ones that diidnt return, happens to be the children?
Im still leaning towrds this to being a vital role on lost. I see the children as being main courses on the plot platter, and we should learn soon that the kids have to return as well.
Funny about the birth tonight, I still wonder who could have possibly been born on the island, that we havent seen their birth already? I still question Sawyers true origin, being we have yet to see his real fathers face, but thats neither here nor there.
Crazy now. It seems we are getting to the point where anyone could have been anyone. With different names, a new birth a few times now this season, its so easy to speculate as to who could be who, and what role they will play.
The main point being the kids are going to play huge roles very soon, some we know who they are, and some we dont.

Abbot Enheduanna Schwarzschild Name meaning: -Abbot: Father defined by or in religious connotation/definition. From the beginning, Lost was riddled with religious tone and it was obvious it would play some sort of role. Seemed fitting to start here. -Enheduanna: Mesopotamian High Priestess and the modern civilization’s first recorded poet. I created the name after season 1. John explaining backgammon history to Walt spawned the idea that the island may have a link yo the beginning of civilization and maybe even time itself. It was “poetic” and important to add this to my pseudonym. I needed the mother of poetry in modern civilization to match the religious “Father” in my first name. -Schwarzschild: Reference to Karl Schwarzschild and Schwarzschild Black Holes. Smoke monsters, hatches, and curing paralysis doesn’t point to black holes…but the sci-fi elements ran deep and obvious. The wheel moving the island and transporting Ben felt like it got plucked from my imagination. A.E.S.

  1. Was Amy’s baby for sure a boy? I can’t remember.

Also, it clear that Desmond and Penny are going to do the “daycare effect” and sail to the island with all the kids!

  2. Okay I remember yes, it’s a boy. Also when they first called her Amy I heard “Annie” and I stated freaking out!

You pose a great point that the children need to come back and it is strange how conveniently they all stayed on the outside world.

  3. On another post I speculated about if it were a girl perhaps it could have been Annie, but it was a boy and the chronology probably does not work anyways.

  4. In the preview for the next episode it is clear that Sayid did flash off the 316 flight into 1977. It is not clear where Sun is. If she is not in 1977 I really want to know why she is the exception. Is it because she was not travelling with her husband?

  5. Hmm, maybe hes the resident priest. Man of science, man of…
Would make for an interesting turn if the man who is the biggest egghead scientist, turned out to be Jacob, a man who dislikes technology…and no, there is nothing to support that at all, just guessing and speculation. More of a joke than anything, but the irony…

  6. Andre – i thought he was one of the people who worked underground like we saw in episode 1 this season. my second guess would definately be day care though.

  7. LOL 🙂

Of course he is there in the Orchid in that other episode. Wonder if he is just another worker or if he is infiltrating on Richard’s behalf or something.

I got the impression this scene happens at a later date. The Dharma of Horace’s time seems to be one of truce and cohabitation with Richard’s people (1974) the Dharma of Pierre Chang seems to be one of getting on a war footing with the Arrow station used more proctively to spy on and attack the Hostiles.

  8. Another subject related to the kids: Daniel seems adamant about not telling Charlotte about her future. Is this the physicist deciding that by not telling her he will make some change to the future to save her.

Would he go so far as to defect to the Hostiles and help Richard? The anti-technology Daniel goes over to the religious sect?

  9. It would in his mind, possibly prevent Charolettes death…of course, so would blowing up the island after she died.
Richard asks Faraday if he came back for his bomb, in an earlier episode.

  10. Of course he’ll try not to tell her but eventually she will end up with that memory… if Daniel doesn’t tell her then there will be a similar guy who does and later she’ll remember it and think it was Daniel.

Interesting thought about Daniel being Jacob though… At first when I saw Daniel in the season premier I thought he was undercover in the DI posing as a workman. Now it seems he’s actually a member of the DI… maybe he’s a workman because he’s denounced science and technology… Maybe he blames technology for Charlottes death…

  11. The person who was born on the island is the ginger woman who turns up on the helicopter in season 4! Remember, when she is talking to the Daniel, Something she said along the lines of she never found out where she was born!

  12. Yep, the children will play a major part in the near future of Lost.

Juliette’s presence in 1977 and providing assistance to Amy, was crucial. Horace told Sawyer/LaFleur, that all ‘island’ women were taken off of ‘the island’ to give birth.

Relating back to your previous post; conceiving the inconceivable, one can’t help but note the births of both Aaron and Ji-Yeon.

I expect because those births, were somewhat miraculous, those children will indeed be very special.

I have a lot more thoughts on this as well. Fascinating subject!
