Time Paradox=Brain Aneurysm?

I’m new here, and have never really been a poster on any website, but this thought occurred to me and I felt like seeing if anyone would agree…bare with me if I have no posting etiquette (or ability to spell.)

  1. For the Miles question, he did get a nose bleed.

I agree with your explanation on what happened to Charlotte. My only problem with this theory as a whole is that Locke has no pain/side effects when they flash to the night of the hatch opening. Unless he is “special” in this aspect, or as you mentioned, the flash lasted too short, which I don’t see merit in.

  2. Hi

I really like this and I like the idea as to why Charlotte did not make the final jump.

It is also interesting because Jack. Hurley and Kate jumped back though 3 years later and Ben did not and it is highly possible he is back as a younger Ben.

Interestingly Sun, Frank, Locke and the other 316ers did not go back with Jack & Co could it be their younger selves are there?

Also why did Jack & co zap to 3 years later than Sawyer & Co, is it because Jack & Co are there as younger selves but 3 years later theie younger sleves have left with their parents

    Good food for thought

  3. I think Charlotte stayed behind because she died. It has nothing to do with 2 versions of the same person. For example, Locke choosing not to go say hi to himself at the hatch because he needed the struggles. 2 versions of himself existed at the same time then.

  4. Prospero, it would seem that Juliet’s conversation with Sawyer can account for the three years passing: 1974-1977 AND 2004-2007.

As Juliet pointed out to Sawyer, John turned the wheel – the flashes stopped – the nosebleeds/headaches stopped. So she brings up the point, “I think he saved us.”

Then we (the viewers) see that three years pass and Sawyer, Juliet, etc. are acclimated into Dharma.

This brings up the “what is saving?” question I have had…was it simply stopping the flashes? That is what Sawyer and co. probably started to believe, since ‘time’ started to progress ‘normally’ once the flashes stopped.

So then Jack & co. flash to 1977 when the “window” that Hawking refers to is open. Three years have passed for all of them now.

Regarding Sun, I will be quite curious as to what time she is in, as I am not convinced that she is in 2007. (Sigh…oh the things we can dispute for the next week…)

Good theory with some interesting connection to Helen. I thought it was interesting how they brought her (and her headstone) back into the picture in the Life & Death episode.

I do think we will be seeing other possibly unexpected but familiar faces in the next few episodes. It will be interesting if she is one of them. Or anyone else who has died from the bleeding nose/exploding brain malady.

  5. I think al 316ers did not flash to 1977 because Locke, Ben, whoever, did not get them all to “come back”. Aaron is an O6 who was supposed to return. Walt was not O6, but still one of the only 3 lostie survivors living off island. Even Abbadon, asked Locke about bringing “them all” back.
The third being Suns child. Ji Yeon was not technically an existing human being walking around. But she was alive inside Sun. I have several posts on the signifigance to the fact that all 3 are children.

  6. Prosperoburns…what a novel idea. Ben as a child. Wow. Are you aware of the importance this idea could play if proving true? Some will say negative about this idea. I really like your thinking on that subject.
