Fools…aren’t we all?

I dont even know where to begin with this. Im not sure what is more mind blowing to me, the information I received, or the way I received it?
PLEASE, if you have heard this, if I am somehow late on Lost news, or if …someone, made this up and it doesnt work, please…just tell me.
I would say I want it to be wrong to know I am being messed with, but…well, judge for yourself. I dont really get any of this…I am very confused, for many reasons…you will understand.
As we all know, I enjoy playing a mysterious role on the site. I do so for several reasons, the most important is, its fun. Very few people know I watch Lost, let alone frequent this site as much as I do. Especially at the box factory. For those of you in the dark, yes, that is my work.
Regardless, I took the time to go and grab an Apollo Bar and some Dharma soda today. Gone for about twenty minutes total from my desk.
Although I do watch the site for the better part of the day, one thing I do, is make sure I cover my ground behind me, especially at work. Meaning, not staying logged in when Im not at the computer, not ever saying who I am on the site, and make sure NOBODY sees me on, like anyone where I slave would know what the hell I was talking about anyway. In fact, when the few who watch Lost at the factory discuss, I just kind of sit back and…well, laugh. The amount of nonsense that spews from some is beyond me. I overheard someone ask today if we were ever going to find out why Christian is trapped in a cabin in the future last week. I couldnt even begin to explain so I just sat, bit my lip practically to blood, as the other explained how it has to do with the fact that he is actually ALL the losties father, and they just dont realize it yet…I cant make this s#*t up. Being those are the only two who watch Lost there, I have resorted to conversing on why Hiro Nakamura is the key to Heroes…paint the walls with my blood…

But then today, something unexpected, to say the least, happened. I come back from my snack, and there is a note laying on my chair. This sounds fake. I will NOT feel bad if ANYONE does not believe this next part, but as I said earlier, I cant make this up…Im pretty good, but not this good.
So I figure it is some worthless paperwork, instruction, love letter, anything but what it actually is…
As I walk up and begin reading the note, I looked around for the camera, or at least a snicker from a fellow boxmaker…nothing.
I read the note, i read what it said, followed the instruction, and almost lost my job because I became distracted for a solid 15 minutes…Lost almost ate my Life.

I could post a picture of the note, but then, I could have also written the note to post, so whats the point…believe me or not, this is what it said….

What in the hell? …then I did what the note says. I turned it over. And to my suprise, delight, fear, and awe…….it read as follows, mind you, I would take credit for something like this if I did it myself, but I didnt, and thats the kind of person I am. SO here it is, to all of you, the back of the note, and a possible answer we all have been wondering about…. you might want to sit down for this…

Obviously, someone knows more than me. Obviously, someone knows who I am, or at least, what I do at my factory for the better half of the day. The question is, why would anyone do this? If they were into Lost even half as much as I, they surely would be a member of a site and posted this. I would take credit immediatly, not going to lie. Granted, nobody really knows who the hell I am, but credit where credit is due, no?

This is too good. I still dont know what to make of it, all 10 people I know and work with on a daily basis, I find sometimes difficult to believe they tie their shoes by themselves in the morning, let alone figure this out. And no one seems to have seen anyone else pass.

I am aware of the door to endless jokes I am opening with this, but for a half a second, try to just think of what the note said, and not the…”joke” I feel someone is playing.

Take from this what you want. Maybe someone said it before and I missed it, or maybe it is nothing. But the story alone I feel was worth the two minute to read it…

We are all fools, in our own way, I may be, in the end, the biggest one of all…
… but it appears ‘someone’ has just stepped up their game …

Go ahead, make fun, tell me where else you saw it…pick away…Its in fun for a reason…
Just remember…it actually makes sense.

Abbot Enheduanna Schwarzschild Name meaning: -Abbot: Father defined by or in religious connotation/definition. From the beginning, Lost was riddled with religious tone and it was obvious it would play some sort of role. Seemed fitting to start here. -Enheduanna: Mesopotamian High Priestess and the modern civilization’s first recorded poet. I created the name after season 1. John explaining backgammon history to Walt spawned the idea that the island may have a link yo the beginning of civilization and maybe even time itself. It was “poetic” and important to add this to my pseudonym. I needed the mother of poetry in modern civilization to match the religious “Father” in my first name. -Schwarzschild: Reference to Karl Schwarzschild and Schwarzschild Black Holes. Smoke monsters, hatches, and curing paralysis doesn’t point to black holes…but the sci-fi elements ran deep and obvious. The wheel moving the island and transporting Ben felt like it got plucked from my imagination. A.E.S.

  1. are you bs’ing!?! this does not happen to people in real life! lol

excellent story, true or not. i’m going with true. but a box factory?!? really?!?

  2. Dabs is on the right track but not quite there yet… It was me! But as we all know, A.E.S. and I are one in the same… A.E.S., you left that note for yourself!

  3. AES, so glad to be up and running again! I missed you!

I think it was also highbrow who caused my computer to crash. Anyway, I’m sticking to that story! lol

They were on some peoples list. I need time to wrap my little brain around this.

  4. What about black and white?

Something may occue, the war, the incident perhaps.
Rose gets caught in the middle, Rambo goes to save her, and bam, he gets shot.
Rose will not lose Bernard again. She feels bad about the SOS sign, she feels bad because she wanted to stay on the island, and this was what happened.
She stays with Bernard and perishes as well.
At some point, they are layed to rest in the caves, Jack puts the stones in their pockets.
No I dont know where he got them from again, Im making this up as I go…
    But still, the anagram…

  5. AES, I certainly think your idea is very plausible.

It has to be something along these lines.

I think most people have always thought it has to be Rose and Bernard, but were swayed away because it was far too obvious a choice.

I do think some things on Lost, are easy! This is one of those cases.

It may be a case with Rose & Bernard’s deaths, that it symbolizes a new beginning.

Out of the ashes, springs eternal life!

  6. Amen…
    Seriously not my idea though…
Although I am now considering taking the credit…
There was no expansion, barely a theory, right? Should I feel bad taking credit for this? Has it been spoted anywhere else?

  7. hehe nice story, AES. I don’t want to spoil your enthusiasm, but that quote “Only fools are enslaved by space and time” is from the season 3 episode ‘Not in Portland’.

It’s being said backwards in room 23 where Karl is being brainwashed..

But how it got on a note on your chair? lol, no idea. Perhaps some of your colleagues are messing with you. Or perhaps you are messing with us…

  8. lol, yes, I am aware of room23.But its the message inside..
    The caves.
    The Nadlers.
Am I the only one that finds this interesting…
I knew it was a story that isnt that believable, but I had to tell it, and thought maybe the info was worth at least enough to ignore the story, and go for the meaning of the anagram…

  9. I love it 🙂

I’m thinking that the Lost writers went specifically for Only Fools Are Enslaved By Time And Space and didn’t write it to be an anagram – BUT the fact that it is an anagram of Bones of Nadlers May Lay Lost Deep In Cave is one freaky, dear I say it, coincidence?

If the writers did this on purpose than they are even more clever than I thought (and trust me, I think those guys are pure genius).

Thanks for sharing that with us A.E.S. (or should I call you John Locke?) In the voice of Boone – “You work at a Box Company?”

  10. Yes, figured it would be spotted somewhere else…
We discussed anagrams not too long ago here and nobody brought this up.
I never heard it before, and still…dont believe in coincidences..

  11. It’s weird but I still don’t think Rose and Bernard are Adam and Eve… I wish Jack had checked their teeth… I bet Rose and Bernard have excellent teeth…

  12. Too bad if that was the only way of checking, the island dentist would cause the end of the world if he checked…and it was actually he and Rose…”Dont let them near each other!!!”

  13. I read this a while back and i really hope they are not adam and eve.

The writers have spoken about adam and eve being in their thoughts from the start and this would prove they always knew where they were going.

It’s not very impressive if the proof they always knew where they were going was having an old couple who are there at the start ending up in a cave together.

I have to admit when i first found out about this it started my doubts about the writers and i really really hope it isn’t true

  14. Prospero – Why would it be so bad if it is Rose and Bernard in the cave? Is it not exciting enough or something? Would we feel better if it was two of the Jack/Kate/Sawyer/Juliet love square?

I would be fine with it being Rose and Bernard, especially since they have mysteriously disappeared since the flaming arrows. I think that is actually more frustrating to the viewers (other people that I talk Lost with, who DON’T come on sites like this) that R & B just are unaccounted for now after all that they have done.

This is definitely fun AES. I’m sorry I gave you such a hard time for not sharing yesterday. I can be impatient, and this was definitely you getting the time (away from work) to write out the whole thing.

I hope more comes out of this story. Be sure to tell us if it does!!!

Should we start calling you “guest” instead of AES??? 😉

  15. Stone mentions in this post, that the original saying is from the Room23 video…Does everyone agree, and is that the first we heard of this on Lost?

  16. And while Im ranting…Im going to tell you why the skeletons ARE in fact Rose and Bernard…or at least someone with their last names….man, Dabsi has me all fired up….and I know who put the note on my chair…yes…I wasnt making it up….someone actually did this…

  17. I have actual proof, and Im playing no more games with this…They can change it from here, whatever, but this is why this is correct…

    From Lostpedia:
“In a Season 3 Q&A, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse said that there were a couple of Easter eggs embedded in “Not in Portland” which shed some light on the Adam and Eve skeletons discovered by Jack in “House of the Rising Sun”. It is highly likely that the Room 23 video contained one of these Easter eggs.

Yeah, I know, not the most reliable source, well, here is something I dont think they have on other sites, or I wouldnt be here defending this….

From the article, in EW magazine online….

What is the meaning or significance of the two skeletons that Jack and Kate found in the cave of season 1?

CUSE: The answer to that question goes to the nature of the timeline of the island. We don’t want to say too much about it, but there are a couple Easter eggs embedded in [the Feb. 7 episode], one of which is an anagram that actually sheds some light on the skeletons and hints at a larger mythological mystery that will start to unfold later in the season.

LINDELOF: There were certain things we knew from the very beginning. Independent of ever knowing when the end was going to be, we knew what it was going to be, and we wanted to start setting it up as early as season 1, or else people would think that we were making it up as we were going along. So the skeletons are the living

  18. Oh, Kim, just saw your last comment about guest…tisk, tisk, 2 in one day, what did I do to you ,lol..
    I joke..
I hope this helps with the….”I hope more comes out of this story”…

I dont think there is much more to debate on this particular subject at this point…unless it turns out to be a cop out, and either…it is DR.Nadler, which is rediculus. They were lying in the interview, which, yes, they do lie quite often, but the anagram shows they are telling the truth. Or they change it because people figure it out.

  19. Sorry, was refering to you busting my chops about not posting this when you had the time. Just double checked, you actually wrote that in today.
That and the calling me guest comment…
I kidd, Im just lightening the mood…

What do you think about this though?

I seriously dont use other sites other than the old LT site, so if it was said, I was unaware. But from my understanding, nobody else has actually caught the producers with this one.

Sorry, long day. Between this, and Dabsis new post, I never even got to go back and thank Bailey for posting her Room23 theory. It is what ultimately made me search for the answer to this there.
I am starting to believe coincidences dont happen in real life either, lol.

  20. Oh yeah, and my first comment here meant to read, “this was definitely WORTH you getting the time…”

Glad you posted it. I don’t think there’s anything to argue about it! I think the only mystery left now is figuring out the rocks…and I think it would be really intriguing if Jack finds them ‘dying’ perhaps and is the one that even gives them the rocks…maybe as his sort of proof…kind of like the story of Thomas needing to see the scars on Jesus’ hands.

Well done. I’m glad you’re the one with creepy real life situations, you can handle it and make it for the greater good! Now my computer battery is dying…

  21. Seriously, the more I think about it, the more I think it’s possible that the black and white stones in their hands could be the placed there to be proof of sorts.

Like perhaps since Jack can’t wrap his mind around timetravel, and whether or not they are going to have to go back to their past/future of 2004, he places the stones there…so that way in his mind, if he gets back, then he’ll find them and believe. But instead, he actually found the stones first and he’s not really going to go back to 2004…but he THINKS that he needs to do it to prove something.

Okay. I’m sure we’re not going to see Jack in the cave this week, but still. It’s fun to think about the characters figuring out what they can/should do when, especially Jack.

That Thomas & Jesus story wasn’t for nothing…and yes, perhaps it was simply for Jack to get on the plane…

  22. Kim

It would just be predictable, i do not mean I could have seen it from the start but that it does not fire the imagination.

A lot of waht I am seeing now, from the start of the time traveling is kind of fitting in standard story telling “with a twist” which is something lost did not do as a rule. I got a little disheartened a season back and then the writers got their end date and I expected fireworks, what i have got is pedestrian.

I know this will not make me popular but I expect more. The writers are relying on the detail they have put in the show rather than the story, even the characters seem to be floundering.

Tell me this: what are jack/hurley/kate/sun/jin doing to enhance the story?, the only character to be interesting at the moment (apart for the always great ben/locke) is sayid.

Loyalty is a good thing, but not when it is unquestioning.
