Is going to be the event that either sends our Losties into the future to meet up with Sun Ben and Locke, or grabs all of them and sends them all some-when else.

I think the incident is going to send the Pasties into the future making them Losties again. Unless it sends them into the future (our present) off island in which case they’d be Foundies. Either way, I think they’re going to leave a mess behind in the 1970’s…
I think the incident is going to bring the ajira people back to the 70s and I think the war that Widmore is talking about is the Purge. I could be wrong though.
Yeah the Purge and the War are probably one and the same… although I don’t recall there being a special name for Ben wiping out all of the Dharmas, although I guess that is how the War ended. My question is, if the Incident brings 316 people back to the 1970’s, then they will die when Ben launches the poison gas, or be members of the Others in the 1980s and possibly even up to the current day… which as far as we know didn’t happen.
The only way for it to not be a paradox is if the Indicent moves them into the future, after they have fumbled their way into creating many of the “mysteries” themselves, including the Numbers.
Yeah, it could bring the Losties into the past and make them Pasties. But I think that would cause problems. Bringing the Pasties into the 2007 timeframe and making them Losties would be a lot cleaner. It would also give them a chance to make some changes… since they would no longer be in the past. Maybe the DHARMA Initiative will be reconstituted like Chang was saying the the DBV. Maybe the Losties will be a part of that…
The incident is going to be when the Dharma initiative finnaly unearth the “time wheel” becuase faraday was seen the season premiere talking to marvin candle about his men’s nose bleeds in the orchid. I believe the important characters will be able to escape the dharma purge with the wheel and honestly its not very difficult to return to the island. They just need to find eloise again
Maybe the incident is Ben tricking Widmore into turning the wheel, and that is what, most likely, brings all of the losties/pasties back to the present.
I don’t think the incident is related to the Wheel… it seems to be directly related to the Swan, which is pretty far away from the Wheel as far as I recall. What we DON’T know, is what Richard Widmore and the old Others did with that pesky nuclear bomb.

Agreed… and we really haven’t seen Faraday much since they got to Dharmatown… so he’s either taking a vacation or he’s up to making a mess.

I am wondering if something happens to send ‘the island’ itself back in time, with everyone on it.
I mean way back in time! And, it will take a combined effort to get ‘the island’ and themselves back to present times.
If this turned out to be the case, perhaps that would put things right between Dharma and ‘the others’ and put an end to their fighting.
