Alex and the Black Smoke

Hi guys

I’m pretty new to this and this is my first post so please be gentle lol.

In this weeks episode ‘Dead is Dead’ we see Ben kidnap Alex from Danielle, he takes her to Charles Widmore and Richard Alpert and Charles says Ben should have killed her because that’s what the island wanted. Do you think this is why Ben moved to the Dharma Houses and they had the surrounding sonic thing, to protect Alex (and the others) from being killed by the black smoke?

Also, when Ben goes under the Temple and he meets the black smoke, do you think the black smoke is the one who gives these commands for ‘The Island’? Is Jacob the black smoke?
