Faraday Time Loop?
So I rewatched The Variable for the third time! And I was thinking that maybe Faraday is reliving the same set of events over and over. When he and Miles were in the van waiting Faraday was consulting his journal, when Chang shows up he says right on time. I’m sure most of you caught this. So has he gone through this before? Faraday seems to know where the Dharma people will be but not the Others. It’s very confusing to me that if he knew where Chang would be he should have known that his mom shot him a short time later. I am not a big fan of time loops but it is kind of hard to ignore. Any thoughts?
Yeah that was strange. It makes me think maybe Faraday flashed that moment during the flashing sequences and happened to look at his watch. Did you notice that the machines in that scene sounded like the smoke monster? Since some people have suggested that the “whispers” and possibly the smoke monster are visible fragments of the time travellers, that would fit together.
I didn’t notice that the machines were making that noise. I guess i’ll have to watch it again! I’ve been thinking about the whispers and the other dimensions theories that have been posted lately. Maybe people hear the whispers while or as the Others are coming into reality as we percieve it.
