The Loophole guy – God & Satan – That Guy is The Monster & Christian

The guy from the opening scene (remains nameless) who said he wanted to kill Jacob – the same man who is obviously using Locke’s body as a human puppet, I think he has been the driving force behind Smokey and Christian.

Lets say for example if the island had a heaven and hell, a satan and a god, satan was a fallen angel banished from heaven and sent to hell because he rebelled against god. What if That Guy and Jacob are a pair like that – not neccessarily good and evil but having a different point of view. Since one seems like a murderer and Jacob seems pretty laid back, it probably is good vs evil. Keep reading, this gets more indepth.

I think “That Guy” was the islands original leader or advisor. Richard made it very clear that only the leader can request an audience with Jacob.

Jacob – Please, want some fish?
That Guy – Thank you, I just ate
Jacob – I take it yourhere because of the ship
That Guy – I am, how did they find the island?
Jacob – We will have to ask them when they get here
That Guy – I dont have to ask

Makes me think he is the leader, like Ben and Widmore and Ellie, no outsiders!
Jacob seems to like outsiders!

That Guy – You brought them here! Just trying to prove me wrong arn’t you
Jacob – You are wrong
That Guy -am I? They come, fight, destroy, corrupt, it always ends the same
Jacob – It only ends once, anything that happens before that is just progress

This makes me think that they have argued over the idea of allowing outsiders to come to the island. Jacob seems to welcome it, while That Guy does not. This definitely shows that Jacob is ageless, That Guy probably is as well. It seems as though they have allowed other people to come and it never worked out well.

Jacob and That Guy probably keep going back to change what happens and try it again, thats making progress! That Guy said IT ALWAYS ENDS THE SAME – so I think they have both seen the end.

Jacob seems to have been recruiting people (The Losties) in order to prove That Guy wrong.
They seem to be a pair, like god and satan of the island. Maybe neither is good or evil, they just have a different view on how the island should be run.

That Guy – Do you have any idea how badly I want to kill you?
Jacob – Yes

They obviously do not like each other but seem to need to work together to protect the island.

That Guy – One of these days sooner or later, I am going to find a loophole my friend.
Jacob – When you do I will be right here.
That Guy – Always nice talking to you Jacob.
Jacob – Nice talking to you too.

So it would appear that “That Guy” is unable to kill Jacob himself, maybe the same reason Michael could not be killed. That is why “That Guy” needed Ben to do it for him!

We all know that Ilana is working directly for Jacob, she recognized him when he came to visit her. She knew about his cabin, the statue, everything. She said “some one else has been using the cabin”

“That Guy” was in Chrisitians body, pretending to be Jacob, using the cabin so that whoever was to visit would believe that he was Jacob, or that he was “speaking on his behalf” so that he could get Locke to do whatever he wanted.

He could not use Christians body to run this crusade because no one knows who Christian is, they would not bring him to see Jacob. He needed Locke, and Locke was the loophole!

“That Guy” definitely has some powers if he resides on the island for hundreds of years and can just shapeshift to look like anyone he wants. He probably just buried Chirsitans body so no one would find it like they did with Locke’s to prove he is not who he says he is.

I say “That Guy” controls the smoke monster because the monster – or that guy, shapeshifted to be Alex and told Ben to do whatever John Locke says – because “That Guy” was using John Locke’s body. This is essentially how Locke/That Guy was able to persuade Ben to kill Jacob.

That Guy wants Jacob out of the way so he can run the show his way. Similar to God and Satan.

I am just curious what happened to “That Guy” that he either lost his body and is now the smoke monster or just decides not to look like himself so he will not be recognized.

As for Ricardo – I want to know what he said in Latin, and I think he will come off The Black Rock and be made The Advisor and ageless by Jacob in season 6 (a Ricardo/Richard flashback is in store!)
