Who are coming? I have a guess…
Okay, so Im new, and Im not sure if this has been discussed before so I apologize if I am repetitive and if I am please refer me to the post where it was discussed because I am obviously intrigued. When Jacob says they are coming I think it is easy to assume he means Ilana and her crew with Lockes dead body, and honestly it could be as simple as that, I mean obviously Ilana is somewhat special as Jacob requested her presence, but I think perhaps those who are coming are Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Sayid, Jin and Sun (already there) and perhaps also Claire who is(nt?) dead. I think they have more power than they realize because they are outsiders, they arent of the island and whatever rules Jacob and his enemy must follow they are not bound to. Im not sure how the explosion in the 70’s will get them to the present, that is for the writers to work out. However I think there is enough evidence to state that this theory is plausible, certainly it is a theory and not a given but it makes sense that Jacob would need their help, his visits to them imply some importance, as well as the fact that Jacob is obviously in favor of bringing outsiders to the island while his nemesis is more against the idea. I wouldnt be surprised if season 6 involves the survivors of the oceanic 6 realizing their potential to save and restore the island (aka- their destiny) even though their ability to do so remains a mystery to them at this point.
Yeah, I think the ’77 losties are the number one candidates.
Yeah there are characters saying do this or that to save the island but I am still waiting for them to show us what the island needs to be saved from. It seems to be doing pretty good on its on.
I think he is actually referring to the Ilana crew and Locke’s body, because this will cause a huge riff in the time-space thing, with two Lockes in one place at the same time, which will either destroy or seal Mib’s loophole.
At first i took it literally like the people who came to see Jacob with “Locke” and Ben, but he could have meant the people on the ship in the begining which i believe to be the Black Rock. Who did richard say was on the Black rock in that episode again? that could tell us ALOT!
Karma- If having two Locke’s in the same place would destroy or seal the loophole then it would have already been accomplished because Locke is already there. See what I mean? Just because MiB/Fake Locke don’t know the body is there doesnt effect the reality that it is which would be what caused the loophole to close. Not saying Ilana and her crew arent the people Jacob is referring too just saying that two Locke’s won’t matter… Also the Fake Locke may not actually be a body but more of a hollogram or something like that especially if Smokie has taken the form… now what could happen is they might bury Locke’s body, burying bodies on the island is of some un known importance… What would happen then?
