The Home of Jacob’s Nemesis

We’ve extablished that Jacob has some form of control, perhaps limited, over the island. He, essentially in part, is the island. But what about his mysterious nemesis, MIB (Man in black)? Perhaps MIB is the second island. The two islands are side by side, but both are as one, as demonstrated when the island moves. They’re in the same pocket. But perhaps the islands are enities, Jacob and MIB, fighting for control over the “pocket”.. MIB wants to kill Jacob, we know that, but we’ve been focusing on how he did it and the details and haven’t stopped to ask “why?”

Now, the writers are obviously putting the second island there for a reason, and I find it hard to believe that MIB would let all the things Jacob’s done against him over the series happen. Maybe that’s because Jacob has control more over his island, and MIB over the other… MIB wants to kill Jacob, because by doing so, there will be nobody to stop him from controlling the entire pocket..

That loophole MIB’s seeking? At first glance, I as did, I think, many others, deduce for some reason the two can’t kill each other but if they are in other bodies they can… But if we consider they can’t kill each other because that’d be interfering with control over the other’s island, things change up entirely.

Now, what supports this statement most of all? Locke’s plane landed on the second island. While the plane was in the air, Jacob made sure he sent the other LOST characters to the seventies, before the plane landed on the island.
But we’ve just raised another question. Why didn’t Jacob just take Locke’s body to the seventies as well? To answer that, I’m going to point to Christian. Locke was a sub for Christian on the plane. Christian is obviously either Jacob or MIB to some form – or atleast someone who speaks for them, perhaps similar to how MIB takes over Locke. Thus, Locke had to reach the same fate as Christian. And he landed on the second island, so he reached said fate thanks to MIB…
