time travel – future??
just a quick question–
(haven’t seen season 5 yet)
have the losties *only* travelled back in time and back to the present? has any of them actually been past their present and into the future?? and if not, any ideas why not?
They did flash to the future. Remember when they stole the Outrigger and were shot at. We still haven’t seen that happen in present time.
BennyTN is correct. Also, last we saw the outriggers, they were at the pier of Dharmaville. So somehow, they get back to the losties campsite.
yeh, actually, i was wondering how the outriggers thing worked..
for example ( after finally watching season 5 yey!).
when sawyer and juliet etc find the outriggers, there were two on the beach. they took one obviously, and were then shot at by people in the second one. then they flashed, taking one with them.
but then when locke, etc got to the island, there were 3, sun and frank took one, locke and ben took one, and ilana etc took one
even if they were on the other island, lock/ben and sun/frank all moor their riggers on the dock. so that left one ilana docking at the beach as she wouldnt know about the dock.
if juliet and sawyer were on the same island as ben etc docked, then they would have taken ilana’s boat back, meaning there was still an extra one appearing out of nowhere…
but if they had been on the other island, where the ajira plane crashed, then as i said, there were two boats, sawyer etc took one, left one, so where did the extra two boats come from? i know this is time travel etc, and they might have been in a different time frame, but still, what are the chances of 4/5 boats just lying on the beach waiting…
which poses questions,
who put them there, why, and how did they know that they were needed?
also, i figured that when they were shot at, they were being shot at by the “others” but in the past.. like the time walt/michael were captured/released..
