When Was Locke Occupied?

Timing is Crucial

Locke has gone through swings of great strength and confidence, then weakness and despair, even before getting on the island originally. When was he then taken over by the man in black or whomever? Was it when he first landed on the island and could miraculously walk? Was it some time later on the island? Or was it after he was killed, in the coffin, or after crashing or being “beamed” off the second flight, as most fans seem to believe?

Tracing what he did each time as occupied or not puts a different interpretation on things, especially a different interpretation on his different attempts to sabotage escapes from the island. Perhaps his swings in persona represent swings in the occupier occupying him or trying to gain occupation over him.
