Connections in the past between Characters
I apologize if this thread’s been started elsewhere. Maybe people can add comments filling in the blanks between all the connections… for example
When Boone is at the police station filing a complaint Sawyer walks by in the background.
When desmond is in europe somewhere Charlie is playing the oasis song Wonderwall on the street for money.
When Desmond meets Jack at the stadium.
Somehow Kate and Sawyers girl know each other.
The real sawyer being connected to Locke and Sawyer (James)
I know there are a ton, it would be cool to see them all in one place and the last thing i want to say i…
all these connections make me think of one thing, which i have been waiting to see. We know the show makes many references to books such as watership down, (any info on the book jacob is reading while waiting for locke to fall out the window)

In season 2 Locke is working as some sort of home inspector, he inspects a home and it turns out to be Nadia, Sayids girl.
When Christian Takes Anna Lucia to Australia, after he goes to Claire’s Aunts house and he stops at the bar, he opens the door into Sawyer as he is walking bye. Anna Lucia is in the car. I figure this is the same bar that Christian and Sawyer share the bottle together.
When Sawyer is at the diner, in ‘the long con’, while talking to the guy that sold Sawyer the info about the girl to be conned, Kate’s Mother is the waitress. Also I cant place it, but i think the same guy sawyer is talking to appeared somewhere else, maybe i just recognize his face from other movies or tv.
Desmond tries to buy the ring for Penny from Faradays mother, but she refuses to sell it.
The soldeir in Iraq that makes Sayid torture his commanding officer, who sets Sayid free, turns out to be the guy Desmond is in the Hatch with.
Libby and Hurley are both in the same psyche ward.
I could be wrong, But i think Kate’s fake Dad, the military one from season 2 episode 9, is also the guy sitting across from Sayid in the transport when they let Sayid go in Iraq and the one interrogating Sayids commanding officer. Ok I am positive, he is holding a picture of Kate. s2x14 40:17
Is Liam’s wife(charlies brother), Claires Aunt??? cant quite tell but they look close. I know they both live in Australia??? Im guessing no on this one.
by the way, not that this has anything to do with anything, I think the young Walt in season 2 ep 2 looks like the poker player Phil Ivey… just think its funny.
In 2×21 Mr Eko is investigating for the Church and the Psychic who tried to convince Claire not to give up the Baby turns out to be the girls Father… the girl who was resurrected.
Does Hurley own the box company that Locke used to work for???
Of course we all know Christian is Claire’s father.
here this made my work easier. dont know why i didnt google it sooner.

LOLZ!!! Walt totally looks like a young Phil Ivey!!!
To answer your question, the book Jacob is reading while waiting for Locke to fall is: Flannery O
One connection which I am not sure about it, which is not listed on lostpedia is…
Remember at the end of season 1 the lady that asks Michael about walt, she asks if Michael is Walt’s biological father etc… arranges the first meeting, i believe her name was Mrs. Hope.
Anyways, I could almost swear in the beginning of the ‘Cost of Living’ episode when it is back in Mr Eko’s childhood, it shows them stealing some food and they get busted by a nun. then the next scene they are in the church and she tell’s Mr Eko to go to confessional and to leave his brother for the time being… I think that Lady is Mrs. Hope. It is very hard to tell because she is wearing glasses, but she looks a lot alike, she has the same tone and pitch voice, just a different accent. Anyways, if it is her, then it would mean she is not aging also. can anyone confirm this?
i love the whole “six degrees of separation”, its also great to think that every meeting is part of some grand design. i like to think that the choices we make (or think we make) affect the people that we meet in our lives(or the way we meet people).
if you sit there thinking about choices that you have made in your life (like i do on occasion) you can always find strange connections to people. it can be that you meet friend A through work, but on reflection, you would have met them earlier through a course that you would have taken at a certain college, had you not picked the one closer to home…
these connections in lost are not (in my opinion) completely down to people’s choices (or “free will”) but maybe a pre-determined pattern.
also,
shannon’s dad is in the car crash with jack’s wife to be ( or whatever she was before the crash).
In the first season during the flashback with Jin where he goes to talk to that guy for Sun’s dad (he is the owner of a factory I believe), the Korean guy’s daughter (the one that is the original owner of Sun’s dog) is watching T.V. Guess who is on the T.V.
…Hurley!
Holdem Caulfield: The woman who talks to Michael identifies herself as ‘Miss Clue’
Here’s a comparison of the two women: http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/4674/missclue.jpg
Not the greatest shots, so it’s hard to tell.
I should have done the research before my last post, but they are different women.
Ms. Klugh (sounds like Clue) is played by April Grace http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/lost/images/2/2f/AprilGrace.jpg
The nun lady is played by Aisha Hinds http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/lost/images/e/ef/AishaHinds.jpg
They do look similar, though.
Thanks greylark!
nice catch omgimlost
I finally found the Vonnegut reference. It is in season 4 ‘Meet Kevin Johnson’
When Michael is sitting in his apartment and tries to shoot himself in the head and the gun doesn’t go off you can hear it in the background on the TV. It is some kind of quiz game show and you hear
…the writer of slaughterhouse-five. Then a girl answers Kurt Vonnegut then they ask and for the bonus which book …. and then I cant make out the rest. I bet its Cat’s Cradle though.
although the slaughterhouse-five reference also ties in with the consciousness time jumping thing. The main character of that story is ‘unstuck’ in time and lives his life in jumbled fashion.
