I think Ben was being manipulated by MIB the entire time. Yes, I think Ben was following Jacob’s orders via Richard, but I also think Ben was having dreams and visions, and he probably believed that they were signs from Jacob, when they were not. It would explain the dream comment that Ben made to Locke, after Locke’s dream of Horace.
Also, for the life of me I couldn’t figure out why Radzinsky of all people would have to draw an invisible secret map on the blastdoor. It made no sense to me at all. But, I think an explaination could be that he was having visions telling him that he needed to draw this map, and the visions eventually drove him a wee bit crazy.
Something else to consider: whoever fake Locke is, might have some connection to Christian Sheppard. Both died and came back to life on the island. So what might Christian’s purpose be?

I wondered about Radzinsky, too. It makes way more sense he had visions than a photographic memory.
