Will the writers be able to answer all the questions they’ve raised in one season?
do you think the writers will be able to tie all the loose ends up in one series while at the same time concluding the story? i’m a bit unsure?
questions include who were adam and eve? why is walt special? why does the island heal people? what is the smoke monster? why do pregnant women die? what does the statue represent? who built it? how did it get destroyed? how did the donkey wheel end up underground? how did the black rock end up in the middle of the island? who are jacob and the man in black? where did claire go in S5? who’s side are this new bunch of people on? how did eko’s/yemi’s plane end up on the island? what is the significance of the few people jacob touched? why was the ride in the submarine dead rough?
im sure there are dozens of others that need answering but do you think the writers can do it before the end of season 6? im not so sure myself that they can, i really hope im wrong, but i dont think they’ve given themsleves enough time.

what are the whisphers?? i think this two, how can they possibly tie it all up, which makes me think we may be left annoyingly with lots of unanswered question….
i also remember thinking when i reached the 23rd episode of 24 season two, will they really be able to wrap it up in the final episode and they managed to pull it off, so who knows.
They’ve announced an extra show so i guess they’re struggling, hopefully there’ll be no fillers and just an incredible finale
I_Am_Jacob, I heard an interview with the writers on a British show. They said that they will address and answer all of the most important mysteries, but minor questions, may not be answered more than what they have been. Eg: Libby. They feel that everyone knows through her conversation with Desmond when she sold him the boat, that she had a breakdown when her husband died, and was in the same Institution as Hurley.
I expect that viewers will be satisfied with what they present.
We will be left with an abundance of minor loose ends. And some people will think that major items have been left unanswered. But I think they will also answer many questions as well.
i think there will always be a few parts of lost that no-one will ever know the whole story with, and therefore, there will be some people who are annoyed at this, but i think the reason why we/they would get annoyed and think it unfinished/unfulfilled is because so many of us losties have picked entire episodes(and seasons) apart. but i hope they will be able to wrap up as much as possible, and i hope the ending will be brilliant!
I think questions like “who is jacob and the man in the balck” will be answered in the final season. I am sure they will tell us about Claire, she will appear in the next season. But maybe the answers open more questions… Hope they didn’t forget some old mysteries like Adam and Eve. I’m sure we will be satisfied with season 6!
But if they answer every question we will have nothing left to theorise over when it’s finished if they leave some of the less important questions open we could make up our own answers on this site
I have faith in the writers that they will leave us satisfied at the end of season six 🙂
i think season six will be absolutely fantastic!! i do however think that there will be a couple of mysteries left unanswerd and we will have to make our own mind up about them?
im hoping though that all of the old school mysteries get answerd as they are the ones that got me hooked in the first place? eko rocks
Yes, they will answer every question they WANT to answer.
To answer your questions specifically:
1. yes we will find out who adam and eve are/were.
2. I doubt we’ll find out ‘why’ Walt is special. Is this really a pressing question?
3. yes we will find out how the very small number of people have been healed. Ben’s tumor wasn’t healed. Sawyer needed glasses. The Marshall didn’t heal. Shannon’s asthma wasn’t healed. Thus, the Island is not what has been healing people. Jacob anyone?
4. yes we will definitely learn what the smoke monster is.
5. we will learn more about fertility although keep in mind that Amy gave birth on the Island, Claire gave birth on the Island, Sun got pregnant on the Island, Rousseau gave birth on the Island, Hawking got pregnant on the Island…so far we only know of a brief chapter of time where a half-dozen of Juliet’s patients died.
6 & 7. yes we will learn who built the statue and why.
8. yes we will learn how it got destroyed.
9. yes we will learn about the origins of the donkey wheel which should include how it got buried.
10. yes we will learn how the black rock crashed miles inland.
11. yes we will learn about Claire being dead(whoops, spoiler alert!) and where her body went.
12. yes we will learn more about who the Shadow Of The Statue people are loyal to(although I’d argue we already know that it’s Jacob) and why.
13. yemi’s plane is already answered….the Island moves through space and time.
14. we will learn if there’s any significance to Jacob touching people.
15. we don’t know if the ride in the submarine is rough or if people are merely put under so they won’t know the proper heading to leave/return to the Island…Walt & Michael never went under, the captain of the Submarine wasn’t unconscious…it could merely be a means of protecting/hiding the Island, like blindfolding a kidnapping victim.
There will be a couple dozen miniscule loose ends, such as the glass eye that Bernard found, the toy truck in the Polar Bear cave, etc…but for the most part, 99 percent of the major and minor questions will be answered, except for the few points that the writers would prefer remain vague and abstract and up for debate.
