Remember in the pilot episode when Locke is explaining backgammon to Walt and right after he says “Walt, do you want to know a secret?”. Did we ever find out what that secret was?

I think the secret was when Locke said that “a miracle happened.” I’ve always taken that to mean that Locke miraculously was able to walk again, but knowing LOST, that may not totally be the answer! When Walt tells this to his father, Michael answers, yeah, we survived a plane crash, that’s the miracle.
Huh, after knowing what we know now, that’s an extremely good question. Over the seasons, Locke has definitely shown everyone that he knows way too much about the island for being new to it (like exactly when it’s about to rain) What if Locke has been keeping a VERY SERIOUS secret to everybody besides Walt, and why would he only tell Walt his secret anyway? Perhaps he already knew that Walt had powers. The secret could have been the things already mentioned, or it could be “we’ve all been on this island before” or “We’re stuck in a time loop” or “my dad is an ass clown that enjoys stealing kidneys” Any of those would fit now. Excellent question though considering Locke is now a VERY key figure in this show compared to season 1
Ever since I saw the backgammon scene that has always stuck out to me and of course that Locke was explaining backgammon just after a plane crash didn’t make to much since either… i always kept that scene in my head thinking it would be very important

Yeah, I think the walking again was miracle enough.

Good point on that as well, pretty sure playing a game of any kind wouldn’t cross my mind for a couple weeks after surviving a super crazy plane crash
